Vehicle Tracking and Ticketing System (VTTS) Using RFID Jasvinder pal singh
and the whole equipment once installed can work without any particular attention. The area of application of RFID is very wide and the technology has already proved its value. Thus the implementation and practice of such a digital system would always be worth.
Aim
To implement a vehicle tracking and ticketing system for ticketing bus passengers in college bus electronically and obtain identification of buses
Objective
The objective of the project is to present evolution of wireless sensor networks using RFID techniques. Obj 1. Feasibility Study; Definition of VTTS and scope objectives. Details of the project schedule will be outlined and analyse the requirements of VTTS and a study will be conducted on how this application will affect the end users. Obj 2. Obj 3. Obj 4. Obj 5. System Analysis and Requirements; Determining the technical requirements of VTTS. Creation of flow chart based on the actual design. Systems Design; Application architecture of the VTTS will be defined and coding and the product design front-end and back-end of the application will be performed. System Implementation; Determining the Bugs and errors in the system. Different type of errors will be determined, during this stage. Integration and testing; Testing will be performed for VTTS capability for simultaneous and multiple users. Bugs will be detected and can work on them before they are completely integrated on to the system. Maintenance; Monitoring the performance of the application and create the necessary adjustments to maintain the application. Documentation; Description of the project process and aim of the project has being achieved.

5. Project constraints
1. 2. 3. 4. Resources. Availability of hardware and software resources required Time. Time limitation of the project Cost: Cost of hardware and software could be expensive Quality: Quality of the project.
6. Project approach
Selected project approach for this project will be waterfall model approach to ensure success of the project. In "The Waterfall" approach, the whole process of software development is divided into separate process phases. The phases in Waterfall model are: Requirement Specifications phase, Software Design, Implementation and Testing & Maintenance. All these phases are cascaded to each other so that second phase is started as and when defined set of goals are achieved for first phase and it is signed off, so the name "Waterfall Model". All the methods and processes undertaken in Waterfall Model are more visible.
Before starting to develop and create the artefact I have to study the subject (RFID application and implementation, etc ...) After that, before the implementation of Vehicle Tracking and Ticketing System, I have to create the connection between the terminals and server. Author also needs to have knowledge of Visual basic and programming knowledge of vb.net and PHP

SOFTWARES AND DEVELOPMENT TOOLS This section deals with the various design tools used in system for the purpose of design and implementation. 1) Microsoft Visual Basic Event driven programming language used for designing the interface and connecting the various sections. 2) Microsoft Access Back end software to keep record of the database. 3) Crystal Reports Report generating software for creating reports.
8. Log of risks
1. Security; any un-authorized access to application. 2. Design; A poor design of the system will produce a less flexible application 3. Improper connectivity of server with computer terminals will result in connection failure.
4. Damage in server system will result in data loss.

Breakdown of tasks
I will be following the system development life cycle (SDLC) for the development of this site
The system development lifecycle is a methodology or series of steps on building specific software to describe, it is a conceptual method used in project management. SDLC has different models; most of the models observe the following stages to ensure their software is a success. 1. Feasibility Study In this phase, i will define the definition of business problem and scope objectives. I will outline the details of the project schedule and analyse the requirements and i will conduct a study how this software will affect the end users. The theoretical plan of the software will be created in this stage 2. System Analysis and Requirements Once the required software will be determined, it will be time to determine the technical requirements in building the software. In this stage, work flow will be created that will be the basis of the actual design. 3. Systems Design This stage is to convert the requirement specification produced in the requirement analysis phase into a structure which is suitable for implementation in some programming language, here, overall software architecture will be defined, and the product design and detailed design work will be performed. 4. System Implementation Once the three different types of designs are completed, it will be time to put place them together. This stage becomes an important phase of the project since it will be the first time that bugs and errors in the system are determined. During this stage, different type of errors will be determined. 5. Integration and testing Once the software is completed, it will go through serious testing before integration to the actual working environment. I will test the software capability for simultaneous and multiple users. Bugs will be detected and i can work on them before they are completely integrated on to the system. 6. Maintenance Although the software will be ready for end users and will be stable it does not guarantee it will work properly at all times. But i will be reactive to the problem, instead of looking at bugs. I will monitor the performance of the software and create the necessary adjustments to maintain the software.
