On Our Own, Inc Catonsville Center

Welcome to the Catonsville Center of On Our Own, Inc. I would like to tell you more about who we

are. In 2006, the Catonsville Center opened its doors, joining 4 other centers that are part of On Our Own, Inc. From the beginning, we had an active membership. People who come are encouraged to find and use their voice. As a result, we have had many members advocate at the State House in Annapolis, become members of various Advisory Counsels and Boards of Directors, and most have utilized many other opportunities to share their knowledge. Since we are a Center that tries extremely hard to meet the members wants as well as needs, we have many fun activities as well as support activities. Some examples are holding our Open House near Valentines Day, dying eggs during Easter time, a picnic in May, carving pumpkins for Halloween, decorating for the Winter Holidays, and much more. Our regular schedule includes Snack Time from 3 to 4 pm, Monday through Wednesday. Then on Mondays, we have Arts and Crafts from 4 to 5 pm, DBSA (a mood disorder/anxiety disorder support group) as well as a Schizo-Affective Support Group from 5 to 6:30 pm. On Tuesdays, we have Bingo from 4 to 5 pm, and a Discussion Group from 5 to 6:30 pm. Wednesdays, we have an Activity Group from 4 to 6:30 pm where the people there decide what we do. Some of the decisions have been to play games, watch a movie, or go for a walk. Please join us sometime. We would love to get to know you!
