BLASTD: Barrett Leadership And Service Team Downtown BLASTD members organize social events, volunteer opportunities, connect with the community, develop leadership skills, and serve Barrett Downtown. The organization holds General Member Meetings every other Tuesday from 5-6 p.m. in UCENT 286. Stop by to get involved! For information, email our BLASTD President: Jessica.Choi@asu.edu DOWNTOWN HONORS DEVILS Student Recruiting Team Honors Devils serve as ambassadors of the Barrett Downtown program, assisting with on-campus Barrett recruitment activities. DOWNTOWN DEANS ADVISORY COUNCIL: The Deans Advisory Council is a committee of Barrett students who serve as representatives of their peers to offer valuable feedback about the Barrett Downtown program to Associate Dean Phillips. The Council meets two times per semester. For information, or to request an application, email Sashaun.Woods@asu.edu Downtown Association of Nontraditional Students DANTS addresses the unique needs and interests of the non-traditional honors college student (age 25+ or students returning after a 2-year gap in enrollment). BARRETT PEER MENTOR PROGRAM All new Barrett students are assigned a Barrett Upper Division Peer Mentor who helps to provide guidance, answer questions, and ease your transition into Barrett. Your mentor will contact you throughout the Fall semester, but if you wish to immediately find out who youve been assigned to, contact Jill.Johnson@asu.edu. B-TOWN BARRETT RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE Students living in the Taylor Place Barrett Residential College (11th Floor) have an entire series of events and activities planned for them by their Residential College Student Leader (Dustin Volz) and Residential Peer Mentors. Afterward, join us for Barrett Explores Phoenix First Fridays (Meet at the Barrett Suite 166 at 6:30 p.m.) Tuesday, 6th BLASTD General Member Meeting (5- 6 p.m.; UCENT 286) Thursday, 8th ASU Night with the Phoenix Suns & Mercury; Facilities tour at 6pm; Mercury Game time at 7pm Before the game, students will have a chance to meet and greet and facilities tour with the Suns/Mercury professional staff, ranging from broadcasters, to team lawyers, to team medical/exercise & wellness personnel. *Tickets required* Stay tuned for ticket details via the Barrett Downtown Digest.

BARRETT DPC ADOPTED AGENCY

Barrett Downtown will serve the Be A Leader Foundation for the 2011-12 academic year. Every Barrett student has a chance to be a mentor to a high school student in the Phoenix area. Workshops are held for just 2 hrs, only ONE Saturday a month at the ASU Mercado bldg. You can help a student in need achieve his/her dreams of earning a college degree! Attend the first training session on Saturday, Aug. 20th from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m., Mercado Bldg. C and then meet your mentee from 11am-1pm. Contact Jill.Johnson@asu.edu for more info
