y name is DahSom Kim and I am currently attending an international school in Seoul, Korea. My goal is to become a professional in biomedical engineering and to co-create scientific and technological instruments that will help people in unfortunate environments. My career plan will be an aid in reaching this goal. University I wish to attend a school that is renowned for its education in medical and biomedical field in the United States. I will major in biomedical engineering, and minor possibly in psychology as it is another area that I feel strong interest in. I hope to be able to bring psychology into the field of biomedical engineering, for one of my goals is to cure the people with psychological disorders. First experiences Rather than graduating college and going into the work field immediately, I would like to study further for the next four to five years and then enter into the big world. I would like to have my first internship as an assistant and a student in an environment where I can build up skills and practice in a real laboratory. I would help the engineers on their experiments and simultaneously learn outside of books as I make mistakes and watch over their shoulders. As a scientist and engineer, I know that humility to accept my errors and failures is crucial. By witnessing the laborious works of qualified people, I would begin to sense what the real laboratory life is.

Development as an engineer

Capstone of Career

Development as an engineer When I become qualified myself to run my own experiments in laboratories, I would like to work in many different collaborative environments and accumulate experience. Finding an environment that is satisfactory and a crew with which I can work joyously and cooperatively without frequent conflicts is never easy. By choosing and failing at adjusting to different teams and diverse companies, I wish to meet a secure and enjoyable job. Capstone of Career Now that I am an adult and have a stable job and a reliable crew, I would focus my work on discovering genetic instruments that will help people with psychological disorders. It could be sometimes tedious and discouraging, but I would pursue my goal steadily and gain a reputation with my team as the pioneers of a genetic device that aids psychologically disadvantaged people to fit into the normal world without too many challenges. I would want to retire as an engineer who is not only acknowledged by the invention but also by the arduous and diligent work.
