Summary
So far in my project I have found one definitive way in which I am going to take my final design. I have decided to design my final portrait as if my transformation is only half completed so that you can see how the lemur genes are affecting the human body and to provide some comparison between the two. My main focus has been on the shape of the body and extending limbs as the lemur has very long limbs. I am trying to keep the design as human as possible so that I dont just have a lemur with a human face. At the beginning of this project I struggled to come up with any ideas at all as the lemur seamed to be very hard to cross with a human as they are very similar, however after taking the approach of a half finished transformation I have found it much easier to come up with interesting design ideas.

As far as things are now I am steadily making progress with my designs and, at the moment, havent come across any other problems.

I found that looking at the structure of the lemur really helped me to get my head around how I would design my hybrid and keep referring to the anatomy and structure of the lemur as reference for my designs.

Essay Introduction
This essay will be looking into the historical aspects of animal metamorphosis or transformation of the human form, focusing on the early ideologies of the Egyptians and Greeks, to Norse religious beliefs and how these ideologies have been manipulated into the legends which we know of today such as werewolves and chimeras. This essay will make reference to The Library of Greek Mythology (Na, 2008), Egyptian Mythology: A Guide to the Gods, Goddesses, and Traditions of Ancient Egypt (Pinch. 2006), Folklore Relics of Early Village Life (Gomme. 1883) and Norse Mythology: A Guide to Gods, Heroes, Rituals, and Beliefs (Lindow. 2002). The essay will follow these myths of animal transformation and see how they are represented today and whether the legends that we recognise today ae derived from these ancient tails.
