SI supports PSM in the islands for November 20 and will be able to submit initiatives to the Spanish Parliament through the nationalist deputies

The general secretaries of SI and PSM-EN, Uriel Bertran and Biel Barcel respectively, signed today a collaboration agreement between both parties. By this agreement they are bound to work jointly so as to make easier to reach their respective political objectives and also to consolidate and increase the political pro-sovereignty in Catalan Countries so as to the right to decide become true. Bertran announce his support because November 20 may be a historical date. It is the first time that a pro-sovereignty deputy may be elected in the island, giving an end to pro-Spanish two-party system by PP and PSOE. In this sense, SI will support PSM in November 20 election and also the electoral coalition in which it takes part. Moreover, coalition deputies will communicate to the Spanish Parliament those SIs proposals that, affecting Catalan Countries as a whole, will be agreed between the members of the boards in both parties.

COLLABORATION AGREEMENT between PSM-Entesa Nacionalista and Solidaritat per la Independncia

PSM-Entesa Nacionalista (PSM-EN) and Solidaritat per la Independncia (SI) share the interest to consolidate and increase political pro-sovereignty around Catalan Countries by means of courageous approaches looking at the future, respecting always the free right to decide in their territories. We are aware that the consequences of the economic and social crisis require a convincing political response, with committing proposals towards people, creating economic activity, decent jobs and social justice. We also know that citizens in Catalan Countries are facing another front in terms of social conquests: the unbearable fiscal plundering from the State. It is an unbearable burden, too heavy for reaching the social welfare levels corresponding to the wealth we generate, seriously impairing the economic development. We are aware that the attacks against cultural variety, questioning the communitys identity signs, are a thread for coexistence; that the crusade organized by the PP against Catalan language and the way state institutions are treating this language are a thread for the essential and enriching role that the language and the culture of any nation must play, as they try to convert it to a segregation element. Agreeing that it is advisable to go into relationships and the loyal and reciprocal support in greater depth by all pro-sovereignty parties in Catalan Countries.

Agreeing about the opportunity and the need that citizens of Balearic Island may have a non-dependant own voice for the first time, also in the Spanish Parliament, representing their fair interests.
Agreeing that the fact of who and how manages this historic, economic and politic time, may determine the basis of the whole new period. We take this decision: First. -SI and PSM will consider the ways to cooperate helping to each party to reach their respective political objective, from the respect and sovereignty of each party. Second. -El PSM and SI are committed to made the joint task possible inside the European party European Free Alliance (EFA) giving support to SI so as to become a full member. Third. -SI supports PSM and the electoral coalition to which it belongs, as an electoral reference in the Balearic Island, in November 20 elections. The coalition deputies will communicate to the Spanish Parliament those SIs proposals that, affecting the interests of Catalan Countries as a whole, will be agreed between the members of the board of the electoral coalition and Solidaritat per la Independncia. Forth. -PSM and SI are committed to work to consolidate and increase the politic prosovereignty in Catalan Countries a so as to the right to decide becomes true. 52nd Gathering at El Puig

ALL T0GHETER FOR THE INDEPENDENCE

Strubell, Guia and Oliver state at the El Puig Gathering that the only path left is independence
SIs president forecasts the failure of the proposal to reach a fiscal covenant, promoted by CiU, ERC and ICV, stating autonomy does not exist any more One thousand people met at the 52nd Gathering at El Puig, organized one year more the last Sunday of October by the PSAN at the Pat hill, this year under the common slogan All together for the independence, to listen to the speeches by the deputy at Catalonia Parliament, and SIs president Toni Strubell, the member of the PSAN and SI Josep Guia, and SIs coordinator in Valencia country Anna Oliver, among others. Toni Strubell reported that Catalonias self-governing power is being emptied by the continuous judgments against the Statute and the language immersion, and by the passivity of Catalan parliamentarian parties taking now a leap in the dark by means of a proposal for a fiscal covenant to the Spanish government. In this sense he spoke about the existing similarity to Valencia in the Principality, and the fact that Catalan paternal feeling is over as all of us start from scratch. Strubell forecasts the failure of the proposal for the mentioned covenant promoted by CiU, ERC and ICV, stating that: Autonomy does not exist any more. The process to empty Catalan power is clear and the Catalan politicians shut the eyes to the facts. He also stated that the people of this

country do not deserve politicians behave like that: Autonomy is over. The only path left to us, if we want to regain our prosperity and our infrastructures, if we want to save our language, is independence. SIs coordinator in Valencia country, Anna Oliver, spoke about the process to implement the party in Valencia country, as they are looking forward to reach agreements consensus with nationalist parties so as to work together for the independence of Catalan Countries. In this sense, she presented the agreement reached by SI and the PSM so as to work jointly in the European party European Free Alliance (EFA) and in order the PSM to communicate SIs proposal to the Spanish Parliament if PSM obtains a deputy in November 20 election. Moreover, Oliver regretted ERC did not want to reach an agreement for 20N. Lastly, Josep Guia called to extend to Valencia Country the increasing social trend existing in Catalonia in favor of the independence and so, to spread the awareness of the fiscal deficit also existing in Valencia Country and to make proposals about the relationship with Catalonia beyond the success of the Mediterranean Axe, which has been recognized at last by Europe and the claim from Valencia people to self-determination right. This political program must lay the foundations so as to an increasing number of pro-independence persons in public office to be elected in Valencia Country: The public opinion, the surveys, demonstrations and gatherings are important, but it is not enough. We need pro-independence political representatives to act like that. For this reason, he urged pro-autonomy organizations to give up an unsuccessful experience and Comproms and Esquerra Unida deputies and councilors to become pro-independence, as it is obvious that there is nothing to do with autonomy. After political speeches, a popular paella tasting and a performance by Pau Alabajos took place during the gathering.
