Clint for U.S. Congress

Whether as a U.S. Marine, a news reporter or an elected official, Clint Olivier has devoted his life to serving his country and his community. Clint was elected to the Fresno City Council in June 2010 with more than 60 percent of the vote. As the District 7 representative, Clint has consistently voted against fees and has been a strong voice in opposition to programs and schemes that waste public money and burden local business and working families. He successfully lobbied the Council and Mayor to modify the privatization of commercial trash collection to a more market-driven solution. Clint has dedicated himself to cleaning up the streets of Central Fresno, targeting prostitution/ human trafficking, graffiti and litter. Clint was instrumental in the addition of the citys Graffiti and Prostitution Prosecutor, at no additional cost to taxpayers. His advocacy, in part, led to the development of the immensely successful Operation Reveal. Clint is now working on reducing City fire inspection fees to small businesses and improving efficiency at City Hall. As an award-winning investigative reporter and anchor for ABC 30 Action News and KMPH FOX 26, Clint spent years interviewing government officials, investigating problems, bringing to light the successes and hurdles faced by individuals, businesses and communities and offering solutions in neighborhoods from Merced to the Grapevine. Clint is a graduate of Orange Coast College and studied Speech Communications at California State University, Long Beach. From 1994 to 1998 Clint served honorably as an air support radioman in the U.S. Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve. He is married to Alisha and the proud father of Conrad, age 7. Clint is also fluent in Spanish.
