La Leche League (LLL) welcomes all women, who are interested in learning more about breastfeeding and mothering. Many mothers find it beneficial to attend LLL meetings before the birth of their baby; attending meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers, who share their concerns, questions, and joys. All of our information comes from The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding (available for purchase at meetings). Mothers rely on the book, now in its eighth edition (2010), for its medical and up-to-date research which is conveyed in a practical, down-to-earth, and supportive approach. Our mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education. We are here for you, whether it be for three weeks, three months, or three years.
