Hyderabad to Papikondalu

BHADRACHALAM : 332 km from Hyderabad, is a temple town on the banks of the river Godavari devoted to Lord Rama. The temple is set on a scenic hillock with a spectacular view of the Godavari flowing nearby . It comes high on the priority list of pilgrims, as the sacred abode of Sitaramachandra Swamy. The temple is unique in enshrining the idol of Chathurbhuja (four armed) Rama. On this lap sits his consort Sita Devi. The sanctum is profusely ornamented in silver. This beautiful temple came into existence in 17th century, and was built by Bhakta Ramadas.

PAPIKONDALU : One can enjoy the panoramic view of the picturesque Godavari valley on a cruise along the river with the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. The cruise covers Papikondalu, Perantapalli and Kolluru.
