The PENTAX family of fiber and video Bronchoscopes offer superior quality and a wide range of insertion diameters for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. The V-Series of fiber bronchoscopes have a 40% increase in image fibers and a 10% increase in image size, allowing for larger, sharper images with the same tip diameter. The T3 Series of video bronchoscopes offer wide screen, high-resolution images without sacrificing insertion tip size or channel diameter. All scopes have effective aspiration capability, are fully immersible and reprocessible, and feature PENTAXs unique autoclavable, closed suction valve mechanism.

The EPM-3500 Digital Video Processor offers digital processing of video signals, providing brighter and unrivaled high resolution endoscopic images. The use of 10-bit A/D and D/A (analog to digital/ digital to analog) converters has enabled color resolution of about one billion colors, reproducing subtle colors comparable to those obtained with broadcasting equipment.

Large Screen & High Resolution The T3 Video Bronchoscopes utilize a small CCD (Charge Coupled Device) chip, which provides an exceptionally sharp, high resolution image with superior color reproduction and a large viewing screen.

Unique Closed Suction Mechanism PENTAX immersible Bronchoscopes have always incorporated a unique closed suction valve mechanism that prevents the siphoning of fluid back towards the aspirator during instillation of solution. Simple one component valves, available in semi-disposable rubber auto-clavable plastic versions, offer complete fingertip control of aspiration. PSV Add-On Camera Utilize the PSV-4000 Add-On Camera with all Fiberscopes to view a clear video image on a monitor rather than through the Fiberscope eyepiece.

By connecting a detachable fiberoptic cable, a conventional light source can be used if preferred. All the portable endoscopes are fully immersible and reprocessible and feature PENTAXs unique closed suction valve mechanism. Intubation Endoscopes
PENTAX has developed a full range of traditional Intubation and Portable Bedside Intubation Endoscopes perfect for a variety of clinical situations. These scopes provide easy insertion, accurate aspiration at the touch of a button, effective insufflation of gas and/or administration of medication. The tight bending section of these scopes allows sharp angulation, simplifying orientation in the upper airway. All scopes are fully immersible and reprocessible and feature PENTAXs unique closed suction valve mechanism. Their versatility and excellent image quality make these scopes the preferred choice for OR, ICU or Emergency Room situations.

These scopes feature ergonomically positioned suction valves and angulation levers, optimized for balance and ease of operation. The shape and position of the two most frequently used remote control buttons (, ) have been redesigned for single hand operation.

The EB-1570K incorporates a 210 upward tip deflection for easy insertion into the bronchial passages.

The new EPK-1000 Digital Color Video Processor utilizes Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology which automatically adjusts and optimizes the color and illumination of the video signal to provide maximum image clarity and resolution. The EPK-1000 also automatically switches into shutter mode for close-up still images, thus minimizing camera movement when capturing still images. The compact, lightweight design has a smaller footprint and is the perfect solution for users of endoscopic systems with limited space. The EPK-1000 system is used with all K-Series Color Chip Video Endoscopes.
