A DISCRIPTIVE SUDY ABILITY IN USING PREPOSITION PLACE OF THE SEVENTH GRADE STUDENT OF SMP NEGERI 1 SIMPUR

A. Background.
English is used as the language of ordinary International unity, because is was very good English language to learn and cultivate since.Zaman now many English language learning in schools tought in schools ranging from elementary o advance, not least in he SMPN 1 SIMPUR. Based on research conducted at SMPN I SIMPUR .Authors found that student there are still many who are less ableto use the proposition, especially the use of preposition at,in,on, so they uses preposition at,in,on. However,on his goal of school his junior high school a spescil Simpur class VII is to enable student to master how to use the preposition at,in,on, in the process of making a sentence. So, based on the issue above , then this research is conducted in on order o get information about the ability of student using preposition in writing SMPN 1 Simpur .Hoping this study is useful .for student to use preposition in making writing sentence.

B. Formulation of the problem.

Preposition always teaching in writing sentence from seventh until nineth at junior high school.he research object is focusing only with using preposition .Preposition phrases in usually combined with noun or noun phrases o make a sentence preposition of place : at,in,on

C. Research object
The reseach object is to find out the student ability of the sevent grade of SMPN 1 SIMPUR.

D. Segnificance


For eacher, this is the motivation for the improvement of teaching feedback using the preposition , particulary in places. For create a researcher, this could be as a means to make suggestions for the serearcher to follow his.

E. Method

The procedure of data collection 1. These data were obtained from the written test conducted to the students of class VII, and interviews to the teacher concerned. 2. Data collected through the test result are then used as written. Made to determine the ability of student in class VII. Research design Based on this research SMPN 1 SIMPUR , mainly grade VII on he use of preposition of place ( at , in, on ) , can be done in quantiatif method. Population and sampling Two are 40 student at the seventh grade of SMPN 1 SIMPUR .They divided into two classes question naice that was distributed to students from class VII SMP NEGERI 1 SIMPUR.

To get criteria which is used to classify the student achievement the furmula used is : F P=N X 100% P= Percentasi F= Frequensi of answer N= The number of studens
