NOTICE (as per Ontario Regulation 287/07, Section 41 - Clean Water Act) DRAFT PROPOSED SOURCE PROTECTION PLAN

FOR THE LAKEHEAD SOURCE PROTECTION AREA The Lakehead Source Protection Committee invites public comment on the "Draft Proposed Source Protection Plan for the Lakehead Source Protection Area" as published on January 14, 2012. The "Draft Proposed Source Protection Plan for the Lakehead Source Protection Area", as required by Regulation of the "Clean Water Act, 2006," is posted here on the Internet. (Read more) The "Draft Explanatory for the Lakehead Source Protection Area" is posted here on the Internet. (Read more) The Plan is available in print for review at public locations in the Lakehead Source Protection Area during a 35-day comment period. The entire Draft Proposed Source Protection Plan is also available on CD by signing it out from the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority office. Municipalities, First Nations, Great Lakes Advisory Groups, stakeholders and the public are invited to review and comment on the Draft Proposed Source Protection Plan. Publication in Newspaper As required by regulation under the Clean Water Act, 2006, notices will be published in the Chronicle Journal and The Source as soon as possible after Monday, January 9, 2012 to inform the public on how to provide their opinions and comments on the Draft Proposed Source Protection Plan to the Lakehead Source Protection Committee.
