Introduction

- The Knowledge Society is a Learning Society with many information acquisition possibilities based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) (Delors, 1999; Assman, 2000) - School is a digital learning ecosystem because the ICT and the new ways of learners thinking (Ficheman, 2008) - Classroom assessment needs individualized monitoring of the learning process (Behar, 2009)

Introduction

- Modern educational system uses formative evaluation focused on skills to guide teaching process (Perrenoud, 2007, Hadji, 2009 ) - Assessment tools: portfolio, internal and external assessment like PISA (Gatti, 2009) - Electronic systems arise to management, content delivery and reporting (Merino, 2006;
Weller, 2007)

SeeAll - proposal

To design and develop a requirement analysis - Approach to digital learning ecosystem (Ficheman, 2008): - a survey about teaching, assessment and
ICT - Observations of some electronics systems in education
- Learning Content Management System

(LCMS) - Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) - Learning Management System (LMS) - Managed Learning Environment (MLE)

SeeAll - proposal

SeeAll presents a conceptual assessment: - not only lessons results, - it allows we recording and monitoring students skills and progress while carrying out learning experiences.

Functional description - Register and records, storage and retrieval

- Description, lists and combines competences, skills and learning experiences - Information visualization Map use, Opportunity scale and Chart the use - Communication - Interoperability between systems

- functional

- potential users: with 5 persons, for observing system conceptual principles; easy information visualization, SeeAll prototype ease of use; satisfaction and acceptability level.

SeeAll evalution and analyses

Tests potential users

The following script was used: - brief system presentation - brief manipulation with tasks set - semi-structured interview. The test was recorded and filmed for analysis

SeeAll evalution and analyses

Analyses - Pedagogical characteristics

- System acceptability

17

SeeAll evalution and analyses

Analyses of pedagogical characteristics

- can contribute to a deeper understanding of concepts, competences and skills - feedback facilitates planning and re-planning reflection - record format approaches the planning assessment and the action towards its goals. - Map Use and Opportunity Scale allows to better understand the full learners use and allows his/ her monitoring
18

SeeAll evalution and analyses

Analyses system acceptability

Considered easy manipulation, natural and applicable Some doubts in language Sugestions: records from different areas to experience multidisciplinary, use scale with more levels, Self-evaluation

19

SeeAll discussion - It provides another kind of results, that are showed with the concepts, competence, skill and attitude in several areas of knowledge simultaneously, for individuals or a class. - It also can be used lifelong by the learner, not only during the school years - Future work, it would be interesting a detailed study of quantity and quality of information offered to acquire the skills and abilities that can to be incorporated into the system.
