OWS draft resolution on Syria, Fabruary 5th 2012 - 1st edition

1. Recalling UN resolution A/C.3/66/L.44/Rev. Promotion and Protection of human rights 2. Noting the request from the Arab league, 22 January 2012, 3. Expressing grave concern about the situation in Syria, the death of thousands of people and calling for an immediate end to all violence, 4. Underscoring the urgency, 5. Expressing grave concern about the continued transfer of weapons into Syria which fuels the violence, 6. Recognizing the call for help from the Syrian people, 7. Demands that the Syrian government immediately puts an end to all human rights violations and attacks against those exercising their rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and association, protect its population, fully comply with its obligations under applicable international law and fully implement the human rights 8. Recalls that all those responsible for human rights violations, including acts of violence, must be held accountable; 9. Reaffirming its strong commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria, emphasizing the need to resolve the current crisis in Syria peacefully, and stressing that nothing in this resolution compels Anonymous to resort to the use of force or the threat of force 10. Call for the immediate arrest of Assad, not resignement. He didnt give people he ordered murdered time to pack.
