To water the garden Eric needs 50 litres of water. The tap is 80 metres away from the garden. He is using a 5 litre watering can. Every 20 metres he loses a half litre of water because the watering can has a leak. What is the smallest number of times he will need to fill up his can in order to finish watering the garden. Azur needs to tile 3 rooms in a grand palace. He is going to use tiles of the same shape for the whole floor. He can cut the tiles when they are at the wall. Azur wants to use a different shape in each room. He is using dotted paper to help work out his ideas. He decides that each shape will: -cover exactly 6 dots; -have 6 corners.
