A PROJECT REPORT ON SETUP OF PACKAGED DRINKING WATER.

Introduction
y Jal is located in Dankuni. (West Bengal) y The land reqired is of 2000 sq.mt with a build up

area of 700 sq.mt. y The reference for the machinery has been taken from Aquashakti Water Solutions. y The water is obtained from bore wells. y The water is manufactured and packed under hygienic conditions in properly washed and cleaned bottles in sterilized conditions.

Implementation schedule.
y Project implementation will take a period of 12 y y y y y

months approximately. Scheme preparation and approval :02-3 month SSI provisional registration :2-3 months Sanction of financial supports etc.:2-5 months Installation of machinery and power connection : 3-4 months Trial run and production :01 month

Assumptions.
y The unit will work for 300 days per annum on Dual shift y y y y y y

basis. b) The unit can achieve its maximum capacity utilization 0f 80%during the 2nd year of operation. c) The wages for skilled workers are taken as per prevailing rates in this type of industry. d) Interest rate for total capital investment is calculated @ 14% per annum. f) The unit would construct its own building. g) Prices as per the prevailing cost. h) corporate tax is assume to be 30%

TECHNICAL ASPECTS:Processing and Bottling

y Raw water to be processed is collected in tanks. y The impurities will be removed by Reverse Osmosis

techniques. y Carbon filters for removal of odour, colour and also for dechlorination. y Packing is done in PET bottles of 1 liter capacity through an automatic rinsing, filling, and capping machine fitted with an ozone generator.
