Method Statement for the Rectification Hacked Staircase 1 Landing at Level 31

1. Introduction This method statement is to provide the remedial to the landing of Staircase 1 at Level 31 where the finish concrete level was higher (how many mm ??). This method statement will cover the scope of the work, health and safety consideration when carrying out the work, quality control needed to prevent the recurrence and making good the slab and also the step by step process of the work.

2. Purpose The purpose of this method statement is to put down the rectification work to remedy the incorrect finish concrete level to the landing of Staircase 1 at Level 31 so that the remedial work carry out will not affect the intended design of the slab landing and that the work will be carry out as per proper process.

3. Scope The scope of this method statement covers only the landing of staircase 1 at Level 31 only. Application to other parts of the project or other project should not be allowed unless study been down and found that the application of the rectification method is acceptable and applicable by the relevant parties involved.

4. HSE Basic PPE be provided to the workers involved

5. Quality Assurance and Quality Control

The Site engineer involved should inspect the work done at each stage of the work to ensure it has been done accordingly, acceptable, before calling for inspection or to proceed to the next stage of the remedial.

Concrete Removal Using a jack hammer, remove the concrete until the reinforcement to the staircase is exposed. Extra care should be apply when hacking concrete around the reinforcement to prevent any damage to the reinforcement
