(modified and graphics by sattotal)

I wrote this little manual, because I have seen many half-needful manuals and hope, thats a little bit better. With this installation you did n t need a extra linux machine for pc sat-tv. For this installation a 2.6GHz P4 with 768MB ram was used. The TV-card is a skystar 2 with DVB Dream and the PC-OS is windows xp pro. Also tested with ProgDVB 4.85.1 on Windows 2000 SP4 with 512MB RAM.

Requirements
4 this installation youll need 2GB diskspace: First of all youll have 2 go to http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/0/f/60fc58543cb8-4892-b6db-bd4f42510f28/dotnetfx35.exe and install the net framework 3.5 full package. (i use it too) for Windows 2000 you need .net Version 2 Then you need the installer of "andlinux". You can load it via andlinux.org/, or direct under the following address: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/andlinux/andlinux-beta2-minimal.exe Also you need the latest emubox plugin, which you can find here: http://www.filefactory.com/file/af1f020/n/emubox_0_3_beta_zip for Windows 2000 use http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XP9TL9WY You need the CCcam binaries, which you can download 4 xample from here: http://rapidshare.com/files/170913346/cccam2.0.11.zip , then you should have all needed files on disc.

Installation
Before you start this installation, deactivate your firewall. You can activate it again, if you re ready and can give the TAP-COlinux network adapter free. 1. After starting the andLinuxsetup.exe and clicking "next" you have to accept the software license and click on "next" again.

2. Select now the Destination Location and click on "next".

3. In this window called "andLinux Configuration Kernal" choose the 2nd option. Its the development snapshot version. Then click on the "next" button again.

4. Here in "andLinux Configuration Memory Size" you can allocate the RAM-memory size for your subsystem. I choosed the standard-setting of 192MB. Then push the "Next" button again.

5. Were now under "andLinux Configuration X Server" where I leave the defaults. Hit the "Next" button again.

6. Welcome to the "andLinux Configuration Sound" page and select what you want and dont forget to click on "Next" after.

7. Lets come 2 the "andLinux Configuration Startup Type + Panel" page and choose the last option called "run andLinux automatically as a NT service + use Windows shortcuts". Click on "Next" again. Doesnt work on Win2000 because the sc.exe is missed in the system32 folder.

8. Now its going real private, so choose under "andLinux Configuration andLinux Login" your user and pass. May be you can imagine, which button you ve 2 hit as the "Next".

9. Under "andLinux Configuration Windows File Access" I choose the 2nd option called "using CoFS" because its simple and dont forget 2 hit on "Next" again.

10. Now under "andLinux Configuration File Access Using CoFS" you can choose a drive or folder for xchange between windows and your new subsystem. Ive created a folder called "shared" on the cdrive. You can also use a usb-stick 4 it. If its done click on "Next".

11. Here in "Select Start Menu Folder" you can choose a programm-group or leave it as it is by clicking "Next".

12. 13. Here in "Select Additional Tasks" I would leave the default settings and simply click on "Next" again.

14. Hit the "Install" button and sing a song

15. Restart your machine with the "Finish" button and go on if youre ready again.

16. Look into your Taskbar 4 the ying and yang symbol of andLinux and start Thunar by right click on it. May be, it comes with a error like "cannot connect to 192.168.11.150 port blah" if you want 2 start too earlie. If its so, just wait a few minutes and try again It needs a while 2 start, so dont get crazy. If its up, youll see a "File Manager" window with your username and a folder called "windows" at the right.

This is the xchange folder which you ve created during the installation of andLinux.

17. Under the windows explorer you can copy your cccam and emubox folders in your xchange folder.
