From Republicans that want credit for their credit card budget
GOP legislators are rushing to tell their constituents that they deserve credit for Minnesotas so-called budget surplus. But thats not the whole story. The truth is we have a short-term balance because of a health care accounting fix and an improved economy. But due to the GOPs beg and borrow, property-tax raising budget: We still owe our schools $2.4 billion. Property taxes increased by over $350 million on middle class homeowners, seniors, and small businesses. Minnesota faces another billion dollar budget deficit next year.

Taking responsibility for your budget is one thing claiming it was actually responsible is another.
