Chapter 3 Installation
Manual Setup
To congure the wDS wlthout uslng the utlllty CD, follow the procedure below.

Plx your computer's |P address. Por detalls, please refer to Appnedlx C (page 96).
ex) |P address l92.l68.ll.80
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default gateway blank
Preferred DNS server blank
Alternate DNS server blank

Turn o your computer.

Connect your computer to one of the AlrStatlon's LAN ports wlth the Lthenet cable.
Turn on the AirStation, wait one minute, and then turn on your computer.

walt for a whlle, and then make sure that the AlrStatlon's LLDs are llt as descrlbed below:
POWER Green light is on

Open the web conguratlon screen. Pefer to page 23 for the lnstructlon as necessary.

|n the "Mode information" menu, select "Bridge Mode" and cllck "Apply".

When this below screen appears, re-enter
the user name "root" and password set up
for web conguratlon screen. Cllck "OK".

web conguratlon screen wlll open agaln. Cllck "Wireless Cong" , then "WDS".

Check "Use" optlon and select "Manual" from the "Connection type".

A llst of avallable wlreless APs wlll be generated. Select the target AP and cllck "Select".
Cllck "Search again" lf no APs are found.

Congure the securlty lnformatlon of the target AP and cllck "Apply".

Pevert to the orlglnal |P adress settlng. Pefer to Appendlx C (page 96) agaln.
