Forced discharge of electrolytic capacitor of power supply block ‘When repairs going to be attempted inthe set that uses relay circuit i the power supply block, electric potential is kept charged cross the electrolytic capacitors (C101, 102) even though AC power cord is removed. If repair is attempted in this condition, the secondary defect ean occu. In order to prevent the secondary trouble, perform the Following measures before starting repair work. Discharge procedure ® Remove the AC power cord. ® Connect a discharging resistor at an end of lead wire that has clips at both ends. Connector the other end ofthe lead wire to metal chassis, ® Contact the other end ofthe discharging resistor tothe positive (+) side (+H) of CIOL. (For two seconds) ® Contact the same end ofthe discharging resistor as step othe negative () side (-VH) of C102 in the same way. (For two seconds) ‘Check that voltage across C101 and C102 has decreased 1'V or less using a multimeter or an oscilloscope. MAIN CB. ® Select discharging resistor referring tothe following table Fig [Charging votage (¥)] Discharging Rated power Parts number (C101, 102) | resistor (0) Pam 25-48 | 100 I 87-A00-247-090 49.140 220 5 87-400-232-090 Note: The reference numbers (C101, C102) of the electrolytic capacitors can change depending on the models. Be sure to check the reference numbers of the charging capacitors on schematic diagram before stating the discharging work. 2. Check items before exchanging the MICROCOMPUTER Be sure to chock the following items before exchanging the MICROCOMPUTER. Exchange the MICROCOMPUTER after confirming thatthe MICROCOMPUTER is surely defective, 2-1. Regarding the HOLD terminal of the MICROCOMPUTER. ‘When the HOLD terminal (INPUT) of the MICROCOMPUTER is “H’, the MICROCOMPUTER is judged to be operating correctly. When this terminal is “L”, the main power cannot be turned on, ‘Therefore, be sure to check the terminal voltage of the HOLD terminal before exchange. When the MICROCOMPUTER is not defective, the HOLD terminal can also go “L” when the POWER AMPLIFIER has any slbnormalites that triggers the abnormality detection circuit on the MAIN C. B. that sets the HOLD terminal to “L” + Good or no good judgement of the MICROCOMPUTER: @ Tumon the AC main power. ® Confirm that the main power is turned on and the HOLD terminal ofthe MICROCOMPUTER keeps the “H” level or ot. ® When the HOLD terminal is “L” level, the abnormality detection circuit is judged to be working correctly and the MICROCOMPUTER is judged tobe good. Regarding reset ‘Thee are cases thatthe machine doesnot work comely because the MICROCOMPUTER is not rest even though the AC power cord i -nsered, othe software rest (pressing the STOP key + POWER key) is performed, ‘When the above deseribed phenomenon occurs, it can leads to wrong judgement as if the MICROCOMPUTER is defective and toexchange the MICROCOMPUTER. In such a case, perform the forced-reset by the following procedure and check good or 10 good ofthe MICROCOMPUTER @ Remove the AC power cord FRONT CB y ru ye Front ce Fig-2-2 ® Short both ends of the electrolytic capacitor C113 that is connected to VDDD of the MICROCOMPUTER with tweezers. @ Connect the AC power cord again, Ifthe MICROCOMPUTER returns tothe normal operation, the MICROCOMPUTER is good, Note: ‘The reference number or MICROCOMPUTER pin numberof transistor (Q110) and electrolytic capacitor (C113) can change depending on the models. Be sure to check the reference numbers on schematic diagram before starting the discharging work. 2-3. Confirmation of soldering state of MICROCOMPUTER: Check soldering state of the MICROCOMPUTER in addition to the above described procedures. Be sure to exchange the ‘MICROCOMPUTER after surely confirming that the trouble is not caused by poor sokdering but the MICROCOMPUTER itself. ‘ Tuning range Usable sensitivity (HF) Antenna terminal < Tuning range Usable sonsitivity(HF) ‘Antenna terminals < Tuning range Usable sensitivity Antenna < Tuning range Usable sensitivity Antenna - Mid-high frequency amplifier Power output Total harmonic distortion Low frequency amplifier Power output Total harmonic distortion Inputs Outputs, - ‘Track format Frequency response Signal-to-noise ratio Recording system Heads SPECIFICATIONS 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz 132 0B 75 ohme (unbalanced) Fat (OIRT) (65 MHz to 74 MHz (10 kHz stop) Fa (CIR) 187.5 MHzto 108 MHz (50 kHz step) FMi: 16.9 at Fe: 12.8 at 78 ohms (unbalanced) £531 KHz to 1602 kHz (9 kHz stop) 1590 kHz to 1710 kHz (10 kHz step) 350 uVim Loop antenna 144 Kt to 290 ke +400 uvim Loop antenna ated : 30 W + 20 W (6 ohms, THO. 1%, 1 KH2/DIN 45500) Reference : 37 W + 37 W (6 ohms, THD. 10%, 1 KHLIDIN 45324) (0.195 (17 W,1 kHz, 6 ohms, DIN AUDIO) DIN MUSIC POWER: 65 W + 65W EL ated : 190 W + 120 W (6 ohms, THD. 1%, 78 He/DIN 48500) Feterence : 162 W + 162 W (6 ohms, THD. 10%, 75 HeJDIN 45224) 0.136 (110 W, 75 Hz, 6 ohms, DIN AUDIO) DIN MUSIC POWER : 290 W + 290 W ZK VIDEOIAUX : 210 mV(acjustable) MD: 210m (adjustable) MICt, MIC2: 1.4mV (10 kohms) LINE OUT: 280m ‘SPEAKERS: accept speakers of ‘ohms or more SURROUND SPEAKERS: K.V: accept speakers of 8 ohms te 16 ohme EZ: accept speakers of 8 ohms PHONES (stereo jack) : cepts headphones of 32 ohms or more ‘tracks, 2 channels store CCrOstape : 80 Hz ~ 16000 Hz NNormaltape = 50 Hz ~ 15000 Hz 60:68 (Dobiy B NR ON, CrOstape Peak level) ‘AC bias, Deck 1 Playback head x1 Deck 2: Recording/Playback head x1, Erase head x1 - Laser ‘Semiconductor laser (.=780 nm) D-A converter 1 bit dual Signal-to-noise ratio 83:8 (1 kz, 008) Harmonic distortion 0.05 % (1k, 08) ‘Wow and flutter Unmeasurable Cabinet type “4 way (magnetic stilded type) Speakers Subwoofer 200 mm (7"/n.) cone type Wooter 420mm (77, cone type Tweeter oomm (77;in) ype Super tector: 20 mm (1, in.) ceramic ype Impedance 6 ohms Output sound pressure level 87 d/Wim Dimensions (WxHxD) 260. 353.x387 mm (10, X 14x 1870) Weight 6.5 kg (14 Ibs 5 02.)
