Bioenergy Grant Program (BCMDP and BIDP) Recipients (2007-2011)

Alberta's energy future depends on the continued development of renewable and non-renewable resources in ways that are integrated and environmentally sound. To that end the Government of Alberta has assisted in strengthening the bioenergy industry by investing funds in renewable bioenergy projects through the Biorefining Commercialization and Market Development Program and the Bioenergy Infrastructure Development Program. These programs operated from fiscal year 2007/2008 through 2010/2011. The list below includes final recipients of grants from these programs to March 31, 2011. The Government of Alberta continues to provide support to the bioenergy industry through the expanded Bioenergy Producer Credit Program, which has been extended to March 2016.
