(will take on 4/3) Tuesday, April 3 IMC Career Survey Meet in the IMC to take the career survey. Wednesday, April 4 IMC Presentation about research. It is important to take notes, and pay close attention to the presentation as it will review and give information about how research & create a bibliography. Login and password information will be provided at this time about how to access online research Thursday, April 5,9,10,12 & 13- IMC research time During this time it will be your goal to research efficiently and effectively in the IMC. Daily checks on use of time will be taken as well as check-points for note card completion. You need to be creating your bibliography as you research! All research will need to be completed on note cards 3-5 sources is required for your research A minimum of 20 notecards is required

Wednesday, April 11 IMC Presentation Noodle Bib (bring your bib. Sheets) The overall goal of the research: All information must be organized in a typed outline. (2 copies are needed) The final product will be a 3-5 minute informative speech on the research career. A visual is also required and will need to be a part of your speech. Visuals can be charts, graphs, pie chart, anything to help aide in your presentation. A typed bibliography is required Week of April 16 20 16 & 17 write outline, discuss visual ideas 18-20 IMC to type outline and work on visual (if needed) Week of April 23-27 April 23- Final preparations for speech & check outline April 24, 26, 27 Speeches (the 25th is Early Dismissal no speeches)

What to research... The following is what you are required to have in your speech. You will need to follow this order while giving your speech. You are also required to have at least 20 notecards by the end of your research. Place a check as you complete notecards for the following: Introduction Job Description _________ Job responsibilities, hours per week, days, attire Educational Requirements/Background teaching _________ College or vocational training (apprenticeship), how much school/training (years), what is the best college major to have to get the job Salary __________

*Your visual must be incorporated in your timeline. Meaning you will put the point where it comes in within your speech. For example: IV. Salary A. Visual pie chart Once you are done researching Roman Numerals II V, you can move on to work above and beyond and research any of the following. These would be following Roman Numeral V and going in before your conclusion. Therefore, many of you may have more than VI. Notecard Checks Completion points for having assigned notecards on the day told. First note card check will be Tuesday, April 10. Each grade check is worth 3 points and is an all or nothing grade.
