PITCHING: The Reds' bullpen leads the National League with a 2.51era and rank fourth in the National League in
overall team ERA (3.37)...in the last 14g Reds pitchers are 9-5, 2.66 (125ip, 37er), including 6-4, 3.09 (90.1ip, 31er)
by Reds starters and 3-1, 1.56 (34.2ip, 6er) by Reds relievers...the staff's ERA of 3.53 for April was the lowest team

RECYCLING: The PNC/Players for the Planet e-waste recycling drives in April collected about 201,500 pounds

ALL-STARS: Major League Baseball's All-Star Game balloting has begun in-stadium and online at MLB.com and all
30 club web sites...when the in-stadium phase concludes on Fri, 6/22 fans can continue to vote online until 11:59 p.m.

....THEN PHILLIPS: On 4/10 the Reds signed All-Star 2B Brandon Phillips to a 6-year contract through the 2017
season...he had been signed through 2012 as part of a 5-year contract he received in February 2008...Phillips is a
2-time National League All-Star who in the last 4 seasons has won 3 Rawlings Gold Glove Awards and a Louisville
Silver Slugger Award...in 2011, he was 1 of only 6 players voted to the All-Star team who also won both Gold Glove
and Silver Slugger awards, and he was rated by eld managers as the best defensive second baseman in the NL.
