Data Base Administrator Senior Associate Information Technology

Administration and development support for relational databases primarily using Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 (w/ RAC) with knowledge of MS SQL Server (2000, 2005, and 2008) a plus. MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISION Technical Specialist position May provide some supervision of junior database administrator.

Monitors daily processing, researches exceptions and request items Monitors database performance and performs database tuning Establishes and monitors database backup and recovery procedures Provides disaster recovery support for operational data bases Establishes database access controls under the supervision of the Security Administrator Designs and creates databases for applications developed by the bank Designs and writes stored procedures in SQL Performs all functions as assigned by management with minimal supervision. Be able to analyze a situation, communicate the issue to clients and management in a clear and concise manner. Able to write detailed work orders to support group Install, upgrade and patch Oracle RAC databases with ASM running on linux Install, Upgrade and Manage Oracle Grid Control Troubleshoot and resolve RAC issues

REQUIREMENTS 1. 2. MUST over experience in a Financial Services environment In-depth knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g R1/R2 RAC implementation and administration on Linux Windows NT/2000, UNIX, and Linux operating systems SQL, Transact SQL, PL-SQL Visual Basic, C++ would be a plus Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent 4 or more years experience Data Base Administrator for Oracle Working knowledge of MSSQL Server databases is a Plus. Hands on Experience of implementing Oracle 11g database on Linux platform is a must. Willingness to work on-call DBA rotations in a 7x24 environment Ability to perform professional level technical documentation and presentation. Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
