Associated Students of Northern Arizona University Student Senate Twenty-Fourth Session Bill 24-54 Date: January 30, 2012

Introduced by: Senator Nate Alcorn College of Social and Behavioral Sciences An act to allocate up to $3,300.00 from ASNAU Budget Line 156 to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the purpose of funding transportation costs and registration fees for the club to attend the ASCE Pacific South West Conference. Whereas: ASCE will be sending 40 students to participate in the annual conference in which students from ASCE chapters across Arizona, Nevada, California, and Hawaii will be competing in events surrounding civil and environmental engineering. Whereas: The students representing ASCE will have to chance to represent NAU on a regional and competitive level. Whereas: ASCE will have the opportunity to further their knowledge in their field through these competitions as well as have the opportunity to network with other schools and professionals in the industry. Whereas: Students in ASCE will have the chance to build a strong community and connections within the campus through a shared, rewarding experience. Be it enacted by the Associated Students of Northern Arizona University that: The amount of up to $$3,300.00 from ASNAU Budget Line 156 to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the purpose of funding transportation costs and registration fees for the club to attend the ASCE Pacific South West Conference.
