Senator Gavin Walton College of Engineering, Forestry and Natural Sciences An act to allocate up to $2300 from ASNAU Budget Line 156 for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers for the purpose of sending students to the SHPE National Conference Whereas: It costs $250 per student and SHPE is sending 10 students. Whereas: SHPE is asking for $2300 through a senate bill and $500 through an O.A. The O.A. will cover gas to get to the conference. The bill will cover the registration fees. Whereas: The conference will be this weekend, the 27th through the 30th, and is held in Anaheim, CA. Whereas: This conference helps engineering students network and learn about new innovations in their field. There will be workshops and a career fair. They will take what theyve learned from the conference and bring it back to better the engineering program at NAU. Be it enacted by the Associated Students of Northern Arizona University that: The amount of up to $2300 allocated from the ASNAU budget line 156 to the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and this funding will be used for the purpose of sending students to the SHPE National Conference
