ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS HANDOFF PROTOCOLS BY USING QOS AWARE FUZZY RULE BASED ALGORITHM

ABSTRACT Interworking wide variety of wireless networks such as GSM,GPRS, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Wireless LAN and WCDMA plays a vital role in the present communication networks. To efficiently support seamless mobility is the most critical challenge in integrating various wireless networks in heterogeneous networking environment. In a scenario we are taking two different networks such as WLAN & GPRS. For the integration of above two networks, we are going to analyse various protocols which is best suit for this. The primary objectives of the proposed works are To propose a mobility-aware novel architecture for interworking between heterogeneous mobile data networks. To optimize the vertical handover by integrating various protocols (eg: mIPV6,HAWAII,IPV6++,FAST Cellular IP), for best performance measures. To optimize the vertical handover by using a QoS Aware Fuzzy Rule Based algorithm, for best performance measures. The performance measures to be analyzed are vertical handoff delay, Received signal strength(RSS), jitter, Bit Error Rate(BER), End-End delay, Bandwidth.
