Capital Hoedown Update

Tuesday June 19, 2012 As we mentioned last week, Capital Hoedown remains a three-day festival, from August 10th to the 12th, at the new location of Numech Ranch at 6930 Fallowfield Road in Stittsville (Ottawa West). Contrary to several media reports, most all of the previously scheduled entertainment line-up is in place and remains unchanged. Unfortunately, and as frustrating this is for all of us, we are not being permitted to disclose the entertainment line-up at this time. Capital Hoedown is working around the clock with the artists to satisfy all contractual obligations. The overall goal is to ensure that fans are provided with a safe and wonderful festival experience. Capital Hoedown is working with everyone to satisfy all of these requirements as quickly as possible and were confident that we will be able to disclose the line-up within the next few days. We ask for your continued patience as it is taking us longer than anticipated to finalize all of our plans. Most of the delays are a result of the change in venue, and almost all of the existing logistic and infrastructure plans have had to be revised. Capital Hoedown is working diligently on the logistics and protocols necessary for the new venue. Our goal is to present country music fans with a third year of great entertainment at Capital Hoedown. There has been misleading suggestions that refunds will not be available, and these false assumptions are completely untrue. We have honoured our commitment to the Ottawa community and our ticket buyers by issuing refunds to those not wanting to wait for the entertainment line-up to be reannounced. However, we can assure everyone that once the line-up is announced and can be disclosed; there will be a lot of happy country music fans. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience as we continue to work on the plans for the 2012 edition of Capital Hoedown.
