K. Chandra Hari Man as well as the whole of biosphere has in it an assemblage of millions of biological clocks as is being verified by modern biology in recent times. Time thus has an inherent existence within the beings that functions independently as well as in relation to the outwardly rhythms of nature. Among all creatures Man is the most insensitive to its internal clocks and the history of man provide attestation to this fact by his known obsession with the external rthymhs indicative of time which paved the way for calendar. Or, in his attempt to have a grip with the mystery that time presented he invented methods for measuring time intervals and derived a computable experience of time on the wheel apparent in celestial periodicities. This invention of the Wheel of Time was made possible by human creativity a new found talent that nature lacked till the advent of Man by accident or by design. To the extent man became insensitive to the natural biorthyms of his body, to the extent man ceased to be instinctual, to the extend he was free from the bondage of nature he became creative a new energy sprouted in him that was tuned to the external rhythms in a special way. The Wheel of Time was thus designed by the ancient Rishis to reflect the bio-cosmic tuning inherent in nature between the microcosm and macrocosm. Wheel of Time or Klacakra thus created received the name Mldhra Rhu ikhi Cakra, the mathematical projection of the discernable bio-cosmic tuning on to the celestial periodicities that gave computable experience of Time. As is implied by the term Mldhra, the star Mla was fiducial in this conception as marking the source of human creativity, the source of Kundalini, bottom of the cerebro-spinal axis, representing a fixed longitude of 2400. Ancient seers who achieved this grasp of time, couched the mystic conception in allegory/myths and thus the whole of Siva or Lingapurna and the associated purnic stories originally came into existence. The reference star Mla got personified as Mahkla, the preceptor of the Tntric discipline, di Guru and Parama Guru of Jyotisha, Yoga and gama the three disciplines that constituted the kernel of original Indian Science, Tantra. Man who transcended the bondage of nature through Tantra (the original Indian Science) had its representation in Paupati, or Mrtyunjaya, the one who has achieved the ultimate objective viz., mukti. Those ancient seers have bequeathed to us the legacy of Jyotisha1, which is the subject of this paper.

We have so far come to possess little of archaeoastronomical evidence except the evidence for Linga worship in Harappa and other Indus sites as well as in Mesopotamia in support of such a Tantra based civilization based on a flourishing school of astronomy. But recent discoveries in Cambay offshore suggests that the original seat of Tantra the heirs to the empire of Asura Mahbali and his scions who were worshippers of Mahkla iva, known through legends as residing near Narmada was south Gujarat which in antiquity had an Indian Atlantis. Hindu epics full of astronomical allegory too had its origin in the Indian Atlantis and when the city submerged the people probably migrated to the far-northern and far-southern areas from the sides of Narmada.

Jyotisha means the science of Jyoti Jyoti here means mans inner light or Kundalini, the esoteric power carrying the same signature as the bio-cosmic time and expressible mathematically over the celestial wheel of time that renders computable experience of time. Mldhra Cakra is Kundalini Cakra and hence the name Kundalini for horoscope. Kundalini is an expression of bio-cosmic time on the Yantra of Yogic body produced by nature or in otherwords the Kundalini Cakra is the mathematical projection of a Yogic body/life on to the ecliptic belt to achieve the decipherment of the evolutionary/esoteric time. It is therefore well evident that it is Yoga that gives credence to Jyotisha and it is thus that the Jyotisha becomes an rsha discipline, a stra enunciated by the Rishis. What difference these facts brings into Jyotisha is a very important question that remains to be answered. The true Ayanma for Mldhra Cakra is nearly 44 minutes of arc more than the Citrapaksha ayanma. This difference is significant as to cause critical changes in Daas, Vargas, Jaiminis Karakas, astrological principles at work etc., and thus the true sidereal zodiac is reflective of a far more accurate astronomical picture of bio-cosmic time or destiny. Somatra is rdra. Dominance of either of these may be reflected in the delineation of the course of life using Vimottari or Klacakra daa or other time factor techniques sensitive to Janmanaksatra. Both Klacakra and Vimottari schemes suggest that the Janmanaksatra is actually the Lagnatra, 3rd pda of Mla.

Dama (Ri10) is noteworthy and reflects the salient features of his Karmakndam - active political life as a fierce nationalist. Lagna and Yogakraka Mars takes ama in the tenth house of ri while Lagnapati is Nca in the 8th a factor that made him unable to see the success of his efforts.  Twelfth Lord Budha is in the Dvdama-Lagna falling in the sixth house of Ri. Also Moon is the 8th Lord of R12 who joins Guru Lagnapati of R12. So the Guru-Candra Yoga of ninth house has in it the seeds of a dainya-yoga arising out of the Dvdama. (2) Congress split in 1907: Tilak became an outcaste for the Mitavdis who came to dominate the Indian Political scene in Candra daa-Rhu bhukti. Candra daa had its beginning on 12 November 1905 and Rhu bhukti was from 14 April 1907 to 13 October 1908. Ideological split is of course related to the ninth house and here the Lagnapati Candra is in conjunction with Rhu in the ninth. In this case Candra-Lagna has Guru in own house and thus Somatra is stronger than Lagnatra and therefore the Vimottari daa sequence from Lagna Naksatra: 11 years 06 months 14 days of Budha daa is not strongly reflective of the above-discussed events.
