In a Unique Way
AN INITIATIVE BY A YOUNGSTER
Shashank Agarwal, a young student from Amity International School has contributed to save the environment in his own unique way. He has come up with an idea of making bricks using cow dung and straw dust.
His efforts have set an example for many other youngsters in the country. With his endeavor, he has successfully proved that age has nothing to do with doing your bit to save the environment.
BIRTH OF AN IDEA
Shashank learnt from his grand parents that in villages the houses were coated with the cow dung as it had a cooling effect and also acted as a mosquito repellent. Cow dung is also said to have anti bacterial qualities and serves as a disinfectant. He wondered for days if cow dung can still be used in some better ways and landed to the conclusion of making bricks using cow dung and straw dust.
