Second time around

There are many reasons why you might consider changing your profession: perhaps you no longer feel challenged or valued in your role, or perhaps the industry you work in is in decline and you can’t see things getting better. Maybe you’re unhappy with your work-life balance, or felt pushed into your first career by a parent, teacher, partner or even societal expectations. Maybe you’re just bored. Whatever the reason, your instinct to shake things up should never be ignored. Average life expectancy in the UK is 82.9 years for women and 79.2 for men, so with all that time on your hands it’s entirely possible to have a second, or even third, career in your lifetime.
