Too hot to handle?

On a recent drive in the Stag, I had been told that my righthand stop light was not operating. I immediately suspected a bulb failure as I had fitted all new bulbs when the car was restored, and I have already had a few others fail. It seems that the bulb quality available from local outlets is not great, so I decided to replace it with a previously-used bulb from a box that had several dozen used but working examples.
