Josh & Tara McCauley on a REDEMPTIVE mission

Whilst his friends were out playing cops and robbers, a young Joshua would sit in the front row of church listening to the sermons of his dad (Rhema Church founder, Pastor Ray McCauley) blissfully unaware that one day he too would be standing behind a pulpit preaching to thousands. Described as a courageous and spontaneous pioneer, it is no surprise that Josh stepped into a global destiny when he founded Redemption Church seven years ago with his wife Tara.

Serving God wholeheartedly

Today, the couple, who have been married for twelve years and have three small children in tow, serve God passionately through their church congregations and a burgeoning online ministry. They are loved by many, but nobody is prouder and more supportive than Josh’s own parents: pastor Ray (considered by many as a general in the Kingdom) who is blessed to see his son follow in his footsteps, and author and women’s speaker, Pastor Lyndie McCauley who is now sitting in the front row of his church each week! We caught up with the couple to chat about ministry during these trying times of the “new normal” and hear their heart for the nations as they see their ministry of redemption expand worldwide.

Q Joshua, many pastor’s kids end up as adults far from the faith. How did you stay the course of Christianity despite the pressures and expectations placed on you from a very young age?

“A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.”
