7 ways to improve your mental health

Keeping on top of mental health and wellbeing is so important, but often in our busy lives it gets overlooked. Most people struggle with their mental health at some point in their lives — some more than others, with a rise in reports since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic. So, what can we do to support ourselves?

There are some things that many of us do in our daily lives that may not be good for our mental wellbeing. Luckily, there are also little changes we can make each day that can improve overall mental health and happiness. Here are seven simple ways to give your mental health a boost.

1. Connect with others

In-person interaction might be difficult right now, but that doesn’t mean that relationships should be forgotten. Good relationships are vital for mental wellbeing, since they can help you to build a sense of belonging and self-worth, give you opportunities to share positive experiences, provide emotional support and allow you to support others (nhs.uk).
