I’m sure you will join me when I say its good to have Peter Simpson amongst us once again. Like myself, Peter has spent hours swashbuckling with the public over the buying and selling of used cars. His recent page struck a chord with me as he mentioned about the untold depth’s customers sink to when it comes to haggling or bagging that bargain. My tenure took place within the comfort of glass showrooms – unlike Peter’s driveway debacles – but the result is still the same – profit.

We were there to make money and sell cars – NOT tell that last lovely newly-wed couple who came to view your house you have had for sale for ages? Moving swiftly onwards, Peter’s recent column painfully reminded me of a couple that came to view a car I was selling many years ago from outside my house. I still wake-up in cold sweat having nightmares about this couple.
