Writing his account of the European tour (published in The Motor Cycle, May 26 and June 2, 1910), Doctor Webster sets the scene, explaining: “Some four years ago I purchased my first motor cycle [sic] to use in making my professional calls… I soon became so enthusiastic that I made trips to different cities within a radius of two or three hundred miles of my home.”
