About this audiobook

He's Gone Rogue

Ex-navy SEAL Rock Babineaux is as Cajun as they come-spicy, sexy, and more than a bit wicked. But would he actually betray his country? Even his best friends on the special-ops Black Knights team aren't sure they can trust him. Now the target of a massive manhunt, Rock knows the only way to protect the team-especially his partner, Vanessa-is to run.

She Won't Back Down

Rock might think he can outmaneuver them all, but he hasn't counted on how stubborn Vanessa Cordero can be. And she refuses to cut him loose. Sure, her partner has his secrets, but there's no one in the world she'd rather have by her side in a tight spot. Which is good because she and Rock are about to get very tight . . .

This is a book about running, running for your life and making out in the jungle a bit ;)

Rock is a member of the Black Knights and made a few mistakes. Now he is running. He also have some issues from the past that makes him not wanna love again. You can see where I am going with this.

Vanessa is also a member of the Black Knights, just not the shooting and fighting kind of Knight. No, she is smart, and knows her languages. She also likes Rock a lot, and jumps at the chance to find him as the Knights and the CIA are trying to catch him. We all know she is gonna find him so I am just gonna tell you she does. There is running, hiding, bad guys gunning for them and the whole conspiracy why he is on the run is slowly emerging. And of course there is the "romance", that is she wants to, he does not.

A thrilling book about a man not ready for love, and one woman sure ready to give him the world

This one I didn't so much rate this on the main couple (probably just a 2star) as on the whole overall story arc. Exciting writing.
I am so ready for Billy and Eve's story (next one), it better live up to the outrageously high expectations I have for them ;)

Running thought this series, the stories and the histories of the members of the Black Knights, is getting very nice. I'm almost to the end of the books already written, and that is getting me down a little. This is a good series. These are interesting people. They are doing interesting things, and they don't all need to be in each action. The background story is also interesting, especially in the way they go from one book to the next.

This book is an addition to a series that I truly have started to love. If I hadn't have gotten this one from NetGalley, I'd have pre-ordered it in a heartbeat.

Rock has gone rogue, accused of murdering innocent people. I couldn't believe that the lovely Cajun had done this and thankfully I was right! It is all a big mistake, a covert op gone awry. In order to clear his name, he had to disappear, but the Black Knights won't let him. Vanessa is definitely not ready to let him disappear without a fight and so off to the jungle we go.

I love, love, loved this one. I want a Cajun all of my very own (the French is oh so sexy!) and the action is fast-paced and gripping. I didn't know what was completely going on until near the end and I loved the constant guessing. There was never a point in this book where it was completely hopeless (come on, this is a BK novel) but it surely didn't look good. I loved Rock all the way through and his determination to keep his friends out of his mess made me swoon with delight; these military types are just plain yummy :)

Vanessa was a good combination of fierce and vulnerable and I loved the fact that she allowed herself to be both. She was a true reflection of a strong woman and fit well amongst the others in the series.

The sexual tension in this one was off the charts. It was definitely a step-up from the previous books and it cemented my opinion of this writer as a romantic suspense author in the one to watch category.

    I loved it!

I definitely love this series. I loved Rock and Vanessa, they were a very sexy, steamy combo. There was definitely plenty of suspense and sex and drama to keep me interested the whole way through. Can't wait for the next one, whoever it's about!

In the latest installment of the Black Knights series, Julie Ann Walker certainly does not disappoint. One of the Black Knights, Rock Babineau has gone off the grid. He’s been accused of murder, terrorism and a host of other things which we hope he didn’t do. Vanessa, the newest Knight, is sure he’s innocent but how to go about proving it?This steamy novel treats us to hot sex, hotter violence and shows us what the Black Knights are really made of. Worth your time to read it but….you may want a fan or two by your side because, as usual – this book is HOT!I would like to mention the other three books in this series so far: Hell on Wheels, Rev It Up and In Rides Trouble. Born Wild, book five will be out in October. I can’t wait! The Knights will become part of your favorite series, I promise…

Wow. Intense action right from the beginning. Rock has been accused of going rogue and is on the run from his own government. It doesn't take long for his teammates at BKI to figure out that he's been set up, but finding a man who doesn't want to be found isn't going to be easy. I loved Rock. When we've seen him in previous books (Black Knights Inc) he's been pretty quiet and is often off doing other work when he's not on a mission. When he realizes he's been set up and targeted for elimination because of that other work he disappears so that he can figure out what happened. He is determined to do this alone as he does not want his friends at BKI to be sucked into his mess. He is stunned and angry when Vanessa tracks him down and tries to get her to go back without him. Before that happens they are located by the feds who are after him and have to go on the run. The race through the jungle in intense with the descriptions so good I could almost feel the humidity and hear the wildlife. The attraction between Rock and Vanessa also intensifies but Rock makes it clear that nothing will come of it. He has a past that makes him avoid commitment and he sees her as someone who wants more. Throughout the story he has a constant battle to try to keep her at arm's length. I found his fear that his problems could harm the Knights logical, and also loved the way that they refused to let him shut them out. Vanessa hasn't worked at BKI for long but she has been drawn to Rock since the beginning. She is the team communications and language expert. She is especially attuned to sounds and something about his voice just intensifies her attraction to him. She is the first to express her disbelief at the accusations against Rock and ultimately is the one who finds him. I love her determination and strength of will. She has a couple of insecurities that affect her actions but is helped through them by Rock. She also knows what she wants from Rock and isn't afraid to go after it even though he keeps trying to push her away. I loved the way she brought him back together with the Knights even though it was incredibly hard on her. Besides her growing love for him Vanessa's biggest focus is on helping him prove his innocence. One of my favorite things about the BKI books is how tight they all are. There is nothing more important than supporting your teammates. Besides that support I love all the interactions among them: Bill getting testy when his sister or Frank make comments about their marriage, Ozzie's obsession with movies and 80s music, the sizzle between Eve and Billy. I loved the way that they all worked together in Costa Rica to save Rock from the feds; it was a fantastic plot. I also love the humor that is always there as they find some unique ways to solve some problems. The mystery itself was well done - I had no clue who had done it until the end.

I love this series! This one took us from the rain forest of Central America to the familiar hang out of Chicago and the ride was thrilling. I loved Rock and Vanessa and was looking forward to their HEA. This book did not disappoint. I could not put this book down, the action of running from the CIA and then trying to clear Rock's name was just too exciting to miss. This is one series that I definitely put on my pre-order list.
