- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I listened to a book a few weeks ago by this author, it was a snap decision as I hadn't heard of her before. It was fabulous- (The Cows). I was nervous of bursting the bubble as often the next book never matches the first, but man, I LOVED THIS! Dawn has a knack of drawing you into painfully cringey moments, you actually feel the shame yourself. She also takes on issues which even nowadays, we are good at avoiding. But that's not all, while suffering through those real life scenarios which make you feel that much better about so many of your most embarassing moments, the belly laughs are loud and many. I totally, happily recommend this, without the slightest need to 'give anything away'. Trust me, just go for it. It's a winner!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Second time I hear the whole book. I just totally love it. And dawn as a narrator is just GOLD!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was a great book! I was afraid it might be a shallow story, however the depths of each character's struggles were expertly conveyed, and tying together of their stories was very well done. This book was surprisingly heartwrenching at times, and hilarious at other times. I loved that their happy endings weren't the classic "happy" ending we have come to expect from stories. Definitley recommend!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely loved this book. The characters are so relatable and at times very funny. The entire book is captivating. I found myself wanting more from each character as they all had so much to offer, and thus would have loved this to be a series of novels.
Dawn is a fabulous writer and I’m so chuffed to have stumbled across her work. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A nice uplifting story of female- empowerment. The characters challenged the expectations of a typical protagonist & I loved Porter‘s portrayal of sexuality & body image. A great read!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just amazing!!! One of the best femenist modern books I've read. All the characters were incredibly build.
