Dr. David M. Horowitz, who pursued his graduate studies in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), is a speech scientist who has led a distinguished 40-year career in industry as a C-Level Director, Entrepreneur and Scientist (expert in acoustic analysis and voice quality). He has worked for fortune 500 companies to solo operations. He performed research for nearly 10 years at MIT where he earned a graduate degree and held the highly competitive post of Research Fellow in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Horowitz has focused on speech and brain science, AI, conversational speech systems (early chatbots). He holds 10 patents. Dr. Horowitz has worked with U.K. start-up companies helping companies transform their theoretical concepts into usable technology since 2001. He maintains a hands-on style of engineering coupled with a collegial style of management through mentorship with a track record of delivery. His roles in industry began as a Lead Software Engineer responsible for several product ‘firsts’ in language, conversational personal assistants and music (sold VoiceRAD, the first commercially successful application of 1980s speech recognition technology. to Kurzweil AI). Dr. Horowitz’ work has formed the basis for his Ph.D. by Publication from the University of East-Anglia (U.E.A.), an honour and distinction awarded for his publications on human acoustics perception, digital signal processing, multi-modal robotics, and primarily in biomedical engineering applied to the rehabilitation of individuals with quadriplegia. His Ph.D. thesis represents a cohesive programme of visionary research spanning 11 years. Dr. Horowitz was responsible for the approval of approximately $30M of contracts for auditory cognition and artificial intelligence. He has been the lead of 2 large EU collaborative grants. He was Scientific and Technical Coordinator of FASiL which developed a chatbot for managing email, contacts and calendar/agenda. He first conceived of SpechXRays which was awarded best funded Horizon 2020 project out of hundreds of projects.

      Amazing book to review today after all that has happened between 2016 and 2022 in America. Soros has never given up and in many ways he’s succeeded

      For the first time, I’ve learnt about the ideas that have influenced George Soros with his high finance political activism and so-called philanthropy. I will now read about Karl Popper and his book "Open Society and its Enemies". Soros, whose main interest was philosophy and who - we learn from Horowitz - aimed to write a major work entitled "The Burden of Consciousness" - we also learn was a pupil of Popper at the London School of Economics in the 1950s. Aside: another audiobook on this platform by David Horowitz is "Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America". In this semi-autobiographical book, we learn of the slow journey of Horowitz from a radical leftist working with the Black Panthers and suchlike in the 1960s, to a radical conservative intellectual by the end of the century. So what happens when a person through lived experience becomes disillusioned with the ideology behind Marxism-Leninism and later the New Left i.e. neo-Marxism? What values and ideology can replace the vacuum when this happens? Horowitz has clearly rejected the atheism and hatred of religion (particularly Christianity) implicit in Marxism, and embraced the theism of the founding fathers of the US Constitution. It is also interesting that Vladimir Putin has gone in this direction following the failure and Marxism-Leninism in the former Soviet Union, and now he embraces the Russian Orthodox Church as the glue that holds together the Russian culture and family values. What we learn also is that George Soros, by his own admission, is an atheist. Thus his Open Society Institutes in 34 countries around the world are there to oppose Christianity, and all other religions as taking a dominant role in government. Thus Soros supports the creation of an 100% secular, multicultural democratic society. He is against all tribalism and religion determining man-made laws. Soros was born into the Jewish culture in Hungary and survived the Nazi occupation, yet he does not appear to be a Zionist. This book by Horowitz is an excellent educational work that should be compulsory reading as an antidote to the pervasive neo-Marxist / counter-cultural propaganda implicit in modern day leftist movements, such as Critical Race Theory, Queer Theory, so on and so forth. David Horowitz can rest his case on this fact: the Democrat president of the United States of America declared the Christian commemorative day, March 31st 2024, Easter Sunday, as "Transgender Day of Visibility". WTF.
