      I understand they broke things off the last time because the sex was way too vanilla and boring. I'm glad they found what works for them years later, but didn't enjoy this book as much. So far book 2 is my favorite in the series.

      We never found out why the broke things off years ago. Kept waiting to find out why they only lasted 3 months.

      I read the first 2 books in this series and they weren't my favorite but they were good and I think I gave them 3 or 4 stars. I took a break from the series and came back to it. The entire series is a reversal of the norm and the FMC is the Dom and the MMC is the sub and I was really excited to check out a reversal from the norm.

      This 3rd book of this series of Vegas to guns was not the same as I remembered the first 2. In this one Lea seemed more like a bully. She's completely untrained and unfamiliar in BDSM and just starts to take control without reading or checking out informational sites and it makes her seem just plain mean. He gives her no instructions other than to tell her not to use a particular flogger without proper training. I didn't feel any love or connection in the exchange and it's too bad because I really wanted to enjoy her story from the mentions in the first 2 books about the character.

      I have to say I was rather disappointed with this one and didn't even finish it stopping at CH 19 about half way through which is very unusual for me not to finish a book. I didn't feel any real connection between them as if the author was rushing through this one and didn't take time to establish a deeper connection of the characters which is usually what makes these stories so good.

      I don't plan to finish this book or series as I don't find this author's version of BDSM at all appealing and I've read hundreds of these stories and this series has left me wanting much more of a connection the characters didn't have.
