The pull to go fishing, so powerful, that when he is not on the water fishing, it's painful for him. From the time he was a small child, his love of all things fishing, runs very deep, woven into the fiber of his being, and driven by inspiration. Most notably, Gary's father, Gary Love Sr. And his Grandpa, Frank Jackson, two of his primary sources of inspiration. Gary has a unique sense of humor, he can bring a smile to any face. Those who know Gary, in a personal way, they will tell you, never be sipping a coffee when he is speaking. You just never know, when he will catch you with a funny comment.
Sitting at a coffee table, Gary designed an inline bucktail spinner, for Northern Pike. He spent a few years fishing, with his own creations, as his success with them grew. Gary's family, and friends, wanted to fish with his creations also. Gary's dad, gave him a nickname, "The Jackfish" in 1995, Gary's favorite species fish, drove him to continue building lures for his family. Pushed by family and friends, Gary decided to take his lures to the next level, the natural name for his company, given by his dad of course, "Jackfish" Lures.
Born in Los Angeles California, Gary lived, fished, and grew up in California, and lived in Colorado and Arizona. Gary moved to Canada in 1991, his current home in Athabasca, Alberta Canada.
