One of Assante Wealth Management’s top advisors, Mike leads Assante’s largest branch network with client assets under administration exceeding $1.6 billion. Prior to joining Assante, Mike was the president and founding member of Investment and Tax Counsel Corp. Having worked in the business since 1987, Mike brings expertise in tax planning, accounting, and personal financial planning to dental clients. Mike manages a “Family Office,” a one-stop center for dentists, aligning clients’ dental practices with their personal lives. With access under one roof to expert seasoned professionals for tax planning, accounting, cash management, practice issues, retirement planning, structured portfolios, estate planning and insurance, each client’s unique needs are efficiently implemented. Mike is the author of the newsletter Tax Matters for Dentists, together with his partners, Stive Farronato and Chris Molloy.
With an ongoing goal to be among the best in an industry where knowledge and keeping up to date with the latest changes is critical, Mike holds several professional designations, including Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Certified General Accountant, Chartered Financial Planner, and Registered Financial Planner. A Chartered Accountant and financial planning advisor, Stive specializes in providing advanced tax planning strategies for the dental professional. Stive graduated from the University of Toronto in 1989. After articling for two years, he received the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1992 and his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation in 1998. Previously, Stive worked in public practice from 1989 to 1993 and with the Canada Revenue Agency from 1993 to 1995. Stive has been part of Mike Lakhani’s team at Assante Wealth Management Ltd. since 1995. He is a co-author of Tax Matters for Dentists.

A financial planning advisor with Assante Wealth Management Ltd. and co-author of Tax Matters for Dentists, Chris has over fifteen years of experience advising clients on tax, investment, and estate planning strategies to achieve their financial goals. Chris believes in helping clients make informed choices and takes great pride in developing comprehensive financial plans for dentists. Prior to joining Assante, Chris worked as a financial advisor with one of Canada’s largest life insurance companies. Chris has been part of Mike Lakhani’s team since 1996.view less
