Matt has known the highs and the lows of representing people accused of federal crimes. He’s helped people convince law enforcement that no charges should come out of a federal investigation. He’s had the joy of calling a client to say that the federal prosecutor is dismissing the indictment against him. He’s heard a federal jury tell his client that he’s not guilty. Matt also has sat with a client who faces few good options, and done the hard work of talking through which bad choice is the best one to take. He’s consoled his client’s family members after a federal judge has sentenced his client to prison. He’s stood next to clients, whom he has come to know and respect and care about, as a judge orders them taken into custody.
