    Doctor Barbara is a physician-turned-author who sprinkles credible medicine into the background of her plots. Her operating room scenes shine but her plots and character take center stage. The author lives in middle Tennessee in a wildlife corridor. "Perfect for writing," she says. She also works her own therapy dog who is the star of her children's book series title Chester the Chesapeake. These three books use real pictures, are written from the dog's point of view, and inspire good behavior in children.
