Steve Nelson

Born in California while his Dad was in the Air Force, Steve Nelson is today a resident of North Ogden, Utah.He has worked for over 30 years at Business Ownership and in the Handyman/Maintenance field & also delivery. He is a H.S. Graduate.Steve has done many things in an attempt to make a decent income. Currently he drives a Very Dangerous 26' Box Truck, delivering Medical supplies, As Fast As Possible, and he writes eBooks!Steve has always wanted to find something that might really make an income so he could take real good care for his family, something that could sell and make him a good income no matter where he and his family moved to. And so, one of his earliest books became a reality; the Action/Adventure Science Fiction eBook; The Maintenance Engineer. The Maintenance Engineer was first published as a desktop paper version, with a lot of mistakes. In today's world, its nearly impossible for a new author to get published by a Real Legitimate publishing house, as there are a lot of 'Vanity" publishers out there willing to take your money and give you a lot of false promises. However Steve did extensive research, just like he does for every book he writes, and he soon found Smashwords. Steve has found that Smashwords is a most helpful site. A place where you can publish, (as an eBook), your work for FREE! And they even have a nifty invention called the, "Meat Grinder," which is a computer system that examines your work and points out changes that you need to make, and lets you make all the changes that you need, to make your work look really outstanding. Since his association with Smashwords, Steve has also found it amazing that a lot of people are too Lazy to follow Mr. Coker's easy advice in the Smashwords publication, (the FREE) 'Style Guide,' so that they can easily make their work professional and sell-able. "Oh well," says Steve, "If they won't make their work look good, I certainly will!"Also Steve has written several other books, and so, he began testing out the Smashwords system on all his creations. Not being fully computer literate he found it pretty tough to get it right the first time out, but after several attempts, Steve finally got the Smashwords system figured out and, in no particular order, he began publishing his other works with Smashwords in rapid fire sequence! In 2012 Steve published at Smashwords; ‘The Problem Eliminators!’ and ‘Escape from the ORDER!’ These two Action/Adventure somewhat Science Fiction eBooks are Great for Everyone! And then Steve produced, (as a FREE Public Service), ‘100+ Quotable Quotes By & About Dr. Ron Paul~ A Real Amer-I-Can!’ This FREE eBook now has almost 2000 downloads.Steve next tried his hand at children’s books. He wrote and published at Smashwords his first Children’s eBook; ‘Nibly the Bear~ Visits the People Town.’You see, Steve had visited Canada and even lived there for a summer, and wanted to write about the quaint little town of Nelson BC, and so, he made up the character of Nibly, to introduce the town to his readers.Sometime later a new idea entered Steve’s mind and he began research into a new book. New ideas really get Steve going! Many of Steve’s works are filled with lots of art & pics. Plus Steve does extensive research on each and every story that he produces. Steve has even produced models, and photographed them in fine Hollywood fashion for several of his eBooks here at Smashwords. Then, in January of 2013, Steve published right here at Smashwords his next Science Fiction eBook; ‘In the 47th Generation.’ This eBook is based on a Real scientific paper by a Real MIT scientist. The idea was simple, what would become of earth after all human life on the surface was killed off with the radiation and chemicals of 20th century man? What would earth look like after about 1000 years? What kinds of mutations might there be?In February of 2013 Steve again visited the quaint little town of Nelson BC with his favorite Bear, Nibly. This time in; ‘Nibly the Bear~ Gone Fish ‘in,’ In this Fun Children's eBook, Steve produced even more art work and scenic pics of the area. Then Steve produced another Freebee for helpful information to the general public; ‘The Deliberate Poisoning of Earth.’ Because Earth's poisoning of today is No accident! This FREE eBook may Shock You, and it should! (This eBook currently has almost 2000 downloads). *Also Steve is constantly improving his work, and from time to time he updates his eBooks for a better experience to the readers. In 2015, Steve produced another Fantastic Science Fiction novel of incredible significance to the modern era. This eBook; ‘The Creator’s Sentinel,’ is much more than just a retelling of the Creation story; it’s an Action/Adventure, a Love story, and a story of New faith in a world gone mad with greed and corruption.Steve sincerely hopes that all will enjoy; 'The Creator's Sentinel,' And Steve plans new adventures for NIBLY in the very near future, as well as other Fantastic works!Oh, and by the way, some of those first eBooks that Steve published here at Smashwords, such as; ‘The Problem Eliminators!’ & 'Escape From The Order!' Have gone through some major upgrades recently and they are Steve’s top selling eBooks! As has been said, Steve upgrades and improves almost everything, all the time!Steve likes to write stories so that they are easy for the reader to read. Steve doesn’t like boring and difficult stories himself. He likes to have fun and hopes that you do too!***New in 2020 is his Action/Adventure, Historical Fiction full length novel; The First Civilization of Earth. Look for it here at Smashwords. So buy an eBook Today! And Have a Real Nice Day!!

    Brief Prolog;

Information for the narrative for this story, I have taken from my own log book and from after action reports from various crew members of the Barracuda and from our good Captain, my friend, Captain Norman Mitchell. I have tried to put every one of the crew involved right into the story, so as to give you the reader an on the spot bird’s eye view of the Action as it happened!

I have also included lots of pictures to accent the story. Here and there I have also included some links, where you can learn more on several particular subjects mentioned in this story.

I have tried not to put too much of myself into the story, but I was there, and a lot of the activities of our boat hinged on my actions and the decisions of our good Captain. We trusted in our good Captain and his wisdom and extensive experience. He was always there for us and served us with his own style of leadership well. I was proud to have served with him aboard the good ship Barracuda and so was the crew.

And now, without any further comments on my part, sit down and get yourself strapped in, and get set for action with; The Problem Eliminators!

    Chapter 1 A Drug Lord’s Yacht

I had just finished measuring the depth of water in relationship to this yachts’ keel. I noted my measurements on my waterproof note pad and I climbed aboard the boat. I stowed my underwater breathing and swimming gear in a handy alcove that I spotted near my entry point there on the starboard deck and I covered it up with a loose section of tarp that was lying nearby

Next I made my way stealthily inside this fancy millionaire’s yacht. I was silent. I had been trained as a navy seal and stealthy type of work was our business. But I’ll let you know more about that later.

I made my way about the interior corridors of this floating mansion and checked out compartments as I went. Beautiful carpets that were really plush were everywhere in the living areas. I passed by expensive stuff like a piano and a very expensive top of the line sound system, and also highly varnished cabinets, and fixtures of all types along with an abundance of these that were trimmed in gold. It wasn’t very long before I came to the main cabin and I could hear sounds of laughter coming from beyond the doorway.

Carefully I loaded my mini cam with a fresh cartridge and held it in my palm. I then pointed the flexible lens into the half open doorway to the cabin and I moved the camera about slowly so as to get a complete record of all its occupants for my Captain. I carefully made sure to survey the entire cabin from side to side and from top to bottom. And then I pulled back and ducked around a corner and into an empty cabin that was nearby.

I activated the instant replay of the cam and observed the contents so as to know for sure if I needed to go on further in my investigation, or if this was another false lead.

Sure enough, the image of one of the most despicable drug lords in the world today, appeared on my mini screen. My captain was right again, there he was, the hated drug lord Jose Garza El Jalapeno, alias the (Little Pepper). Also present and stoned out of their minds were 3 women, two blonds and a brunette. These women in their present condition though, weren’t much to look at. Some sadness entered my mind at seeing them like this.

They as a group had just snorted a few more lines of cocaine, there on the table between them. And Jose was just taking another shot at the drug again as I filmed. Jose, while also stoned, enjoyed the sight of his women getting their minds blown away in a haze of a drug influenced high. He most likely also thought of how their brains were being eaten away by the drug that he had supplied to them, for Jose was known for acts of a rather sadistic nature. He enjoyed inflicting pain and destruction on others, and he knew full well what these drugs did to the human brain. Even his own self-inflicted wounds to his own brain and body gave him a sick sense of satisfaction. Gruesome sights, sounds, smells, tastes and touch all made Jose crave even more! And the sheer pleasure of a good killing really drove him wild! It was all in the many reports we had on him, and even more. While my mini cam had been on them, he was seen to be stripping off the clothing of one of the women closest to him, in a rough animalistic manner. Yes violence and pain were Jose’s stock-in-trade. They were just getting going! And I knew that this party of his would go on for a while!

I retreated down another corridor, and went below to other decks, and explored more cabins and storage rooms of this floating mansion of the drug lord. At all times I stayed well clear of the bridge area, as there were a number of drug goons congregating there. I have a heat sensing device that I can wave by doors and easily check for the presence of human habitation, and I used it often on this mission, as I went throughout the yacht. I have also used my heat sensor on many other missions as well.

So after examining quite a number of cabins with no results except lockers of food stuffs and other consumables along with cleaning products and linens, I then came upon a locked cabin.

Well, well, this could be something here, I said quietly to myself as I stealthily and efficiently picked the lock, in about 5 seconds. Inside I found a stash! Yes, ‘The Stash’ of this drug lord’s main business product. There, wrapped in plastic sealed bags, were hundreds of pounds of cocaine and some of the green stuff as well. I efficiently ran my razor sharp blade about the packets of dope puncturing most all of them thoroughly.

And then I Hastily stowed several packets of cash with large denominations into special storage pouches on my wetsuit.

Well that’ll be enough to compensate us for this trip I guess, I whispered to myself. I photographed the lot with my mini cam and made a quick exit and headed for other sections of this rather big yacht, checking with swiftness and thoroughness every cabin and space I saw.

Soon in my travels aboard Jose’s floating palace, I came upon what was the communications center of the yacht, and I set up an overload to burn out the communications console in the next few minutes, and then I went about exploring further.

It wasn’t long that I came across the radio man returning to his post with a cup in one hand and a sandwich in the other. I had to dispatch him without a sound, so I waited till he passed and gave him a quick karate blow to the back of the neck and head. He was out instantly, and I shoved him into a storage locker, where he was out of sight. I also gave him a knock out injection to keep him out for as long as I needed, just in case.

Continuing aft I came to the engine room. Therein was a maze of monitors, dials, and switches, but no one in attendance, and so I set some small charges about the instrumentation panels there, and timed them to go off just shortly after my return to my ship. And then I headed up a shaft that I knew would take me to the helipad, where this fancy yacht had a chopper secured. My purpose there, disable that chopper!

Upon arrival at the helipad, I found a drug goon on duty. Was he the pilot or just another drug goon in the employ of the Little Pepper? Whichever he was, it was really unimportant, as he needed to go! I snuck right up in front of him without making a sound, and gave him a right cross in the instant that I appeared, that dazed him, and quickly I gave him a heave, and over the side he went! He bubbled just a bit and then was gone. Can’t swim, shouldn’t be on a boat, I mumbled quietly.

I climbed into the pilots’ seat, and knowing exactly what to look for, I cut some important control wires under the instrument panel. Now this chopper won’t lift a feather! I whispered to myself, sweet!

And then I headed down through the yacht one more time for good measure. I was, on my way to my stashed underwater gear, at my entry point on the starboard bow. I had sort of a sixth sense feeling, and I wanted to check again, because I thought that perhaps maybe I had heard something off the main corridor.

Arriving at the suspect door, I paused a few moments, and listened carefully. Sure enough, I heard a whimpering, muffled cry of some sort. I
