4.0 out of 5 stars Vampires! Prophecy! Immortality!, February 28, 2014This review is from: Immortal Prophecy (The Immortal Prophecy Saga Book 1) (Kindle Edition)Ally DeCosta receives an awful reading from a fortune teller that comes true when her parents are killed. Five years pass and Ally is a scarred but strong-willed person who keeps everyone at arms length including her best friend Kat. She is a private investigator whose life always seems to be on the edge. Her life is in danger, threatened by an ancient vampire but guarded and rescued by a handsome stranger, James Carlisle. The vampire wants to destroy Ally before a prophecy she knows nothing about is fulfilled and before she can become an immortal. Will James help Ally find out who she really is, or will the vampire, Vincent, destroy her and change everything? I enjoyed this story more than I thought I would. Ally is a strong character and the book is mostly written from her point of view. James is devoted and caring and Vincent is the bad guy we all love to hate. The cover drew me in because it is truly beautiful. The series seems promising and except for some grammatical errors(the reason for the four stars) I found the story intriguing.

The main character Ally at 16 goes to the fair with her friend and sees a fortune teller. She is told that 2 important people in her life will die and that she will meet her soulmate. 5 years later Ally is a private investigator and while on a case she sees the woman she is following killed by a vampire who then comes after her. She quickly learns that the prophecy the fortune teller told her is coming true and she will have to kill the evil vampire Vincent. Enter James her soulmate.First let me say how refreshing to once again have an evil vampire, so over all the Edwards. Loved Ally and James together, you just root for them throughout the whole book. A fast paced page turner and I can't wait for the next book to come out. I received this from Samantha and Kay for review through Goodreads and I would like to thank them. This book is awesome. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

4 out of 5 stars. I haven't accomplished anything today, because I wanted to finish this to see how it ended. :)

    Review:
Alessandra is just a young girl out with her friends, they decide to go to a fortune teller. Alessandra was given a warning from the woman. It has shaken her, and who wouldn’t be if you were told, “Two men are bound to you, one who is your soul mate, and one who wants you dead. Two people close to you will die and you can not stop it. It will mark the beginning of the prophecy, the one you born to fulfil.” After 5 years, she is still learning to live with the loss of her loved ones. She has learned that the prophecy she told all those years ago is really true. She doesn’t want to believe it, but things happening around her leave her really no choice. James has re-entered the picture and tries to help her accept who she is. Alessandra is caring, both for her family and her friends. She makes a pretty good and enjoyable heroine.

James is very handsome, strong but he is stuck in the ways from a very long time ago where Alessandra is concerned. The butt heads, and the banter between them is fantastic. The chemistry between them is quite sizzling. Even being destined soul mates, it was something that progressed slowly. He never pushes anything on her, he wants her to love him, not just because she meant to. I enjoyed it immensely. Together they are great and make a great team. I look forward to seeing them develop their relationship.

The world created with Immortals that protect the human race and vampires that wants to takes on them all and wipe them out, kept me definitely interested. We learn about her Grandmother’s past, her parents and the Immortal race. I really liked the story behind them, it was very engaging. There were a few twist that were a great addition to the story, and the cliffhanger left me wanting to know what will come next. I look forward to book 2, and will certainly pick it up.
