    April Taylor (pen name) was born close to the English town of Louth, where the Lincolnshire Uprising against the religious and fiscal tyranny of Henry VIII began in 1536. No wonder then, that she has always been interested in history and the Tudor period in particular. A love of research and order led her to become a chartered information professional. April has worked in public, prison and research libraries. She writes mainly crime, but has ventured into non-fiction with "Cutting Through The Academic Crap: An Informal Guide to Writing Your Dissertation and "Internet Research for Fiction Writers"
