      This is your family; it does not matter who did the hurting in your relationship, the kids are innocent. I love my children, but taking care of them and being part of their lives had to mean sacrifices that I was not sure could be made. Then, I thought, step back, get involved and make thoughtful decisions.

      Many questions that will come into your mind when considering this unfamiliar and somewhat frightening journey of raising your children will be answered in this eBook. Some questions that you may ask are:

      How I will raise these children properly when they are with me?

      What will I tell my boss if I have to leave to pick up the children from school?

      How do I keep them eating healthy?

      Where will I live; what about my financial situation?

I will provide examples of how the middle school that my sons attended recommended that they complete 6th, 7th and 8th grade math all in one year—and they came out with an A!

      My younger son is now in 7th grade and is taking high school courses. When I asked if he wanted to continue to do these courses, he said, Yes. My older son is in 9th grade and has just received a scholarship to an Ivy League school for the summer. They both already have a plan to go to a great college.
