SAMPLE EXTRACT:

One evening, after I’d finished my session with Frank and was packing up, ready to go to bed, the doorbell sounded. I wore only my dressing gown (or housecoat, as some people call it), so I put on the security chain - I wasn’t going to get caught out by someone like Mulford again - and spoke on the intercom.
“I have a box of documents for Mr. Spires,” the voice announced.
I wasn’t expecting any shipment of documents, but assumed Frank had omitted to mention them to me. I opened the door.
A guy in a baseball hat stood on the doorstep, his face obscured by the large box he carried. His peak was drawn down low across his eyes. I realised I’d have to undo the security chain to take the box; not thinking about the risk, I quickly unhooked it and opened the door.
“It’s heavy, so I’ll leave it in your hall,” he said.
“No, it’s O.K. I’ll take it.” I reached out and he placed it in my arms; it was very heavy and I nearly dropped it. My body bent forward as I tried to rescue the box.
He caught it, and pushed forward into the house. I moved back to let him in.
“Just leave it there,” I said, pointing to the floor. “Do I need to sign for it?”
“No, Sophie. It’s all right.” He took off the baseball hat and revealed himself. It was Mulford. He shut the door behind him, and grinned. We were alone in the house together, and I was vulnerable.
“What do you want?” I shivered.
“I told you I’d come back. I think you know what I want. Don’t bother opening the box. It’s only some heavy junk. Clever ruse, though, don’t you think?”
“I’ll call the police.”
“But you invited me in, remember? We work together. I came round to discuss a business deal we’re working on.”
“A business deal?”
“Yeah. You give me what I want, and I won’t pester you again.”
“What do you want, exactly?”
“Oh, thirty minutes with your body should be enough.”
“No deal. Forget it. Now get out of my life before I call the police.”
“Not so fast. I’m a paralegal. What do I do? I do legal research. And I’m good at it. Give me a ton of due diligence projects and I’m as happy as Larry. And I’ve been doing some research on your friend Frank Spires. He’s not all that he appears to be.”
“What do you mean?” I wanted to keep him talking while I tried hard to think what to do next. Did I have anything within reach that I could use as a weapon to drive him away? There was nothing in the hall, and I didn’t want to draw him further into the house.
“I have enough on him to do him serious professional harm.”
“But he’s one of our firm’s clients. That’d be counterproductive, wouldn’t it?”
“It would look bad for the firm if it became known that we had a criminal for a client. I’m only looking after the firm’s interests.”
“So what is he alleged to have done?”
“Not so fast. You do as I ask first, then I’ll tell you.”
“What do you want?”
“Let’s go through to your living room. Are you making coffee? Then we can relax and I’ll explain what I want.”
Against my better judgement, I led him into the living room and gestured a seat to him while I went to the kitchen to pour him a coffee.
“Thanks,” he smiled when I passed him a mug. I braced myself to listen to his demands.

Rachel Cray

Rachel writes erotic romances to two sub-genres: the first she calls "law firm erotic", where her characters are the horny partners and employees of a U.S. law firm, and whose spare-time activities may best be described simply as sex-related. The second sub-genre she calls "village erotic", where the cast are the horny inhabitants of Maybourne, a fictional old market town in the heart of England with a number of olde worlde villages, Tudor buildings, a ruined abbey and other picturesque features in both rural and urban settings. She has worked in several European countries, first as a secretary and then as an executive assistant, before returning to her roots in Surrey, England, and close to London; for many years she was the director of administration at the London office of a large U.S. law firm before leaving to run her own recruitment company. Now in semi-retirement, she devotes most of her spare time to writing erotic romance novellas, drawing on her life's experiences in a variety of fields. She is married with children and grandchildren.

Have you found a new place to live yet, Sophie? my boss asked as she approached my desk.

No, not yet, Helen, I replied, looking up from my monitor. I still have a couple of weeks left, and I have a few contacts keeping their ears open for me.

Well, I’ll keep my ears open for you too. You found me my apartment when I first came here, and I’m keen to return the favour. She walked back to her office and I got on with my work. I was a secretary at the London office of Ramsay Stokes, an American law firm; although the job was well-paid, they worked me hard. Helen was a newly-promoted partner, recently shipped in from the Atlanta office and still finding her feet round London.

My landlord had increased the rent on my home and I believed the increase was unreasonable. The firm had offered legal assistance – free of charge – but the landlord had made life intolerable for me, bringing in neighbours who played loud music in an effort to induce me either to pay up or get out. I gave him my notice to terminate; as soon as my letter was in his hand, the loud music stopped and the neighbours became polite.

Helen came back to my desk. Sophie, Mr Spires has arrived and I’m seeing him in the large conference room. We’ll be about an hour, and we are not to be disturbed under any circumstances. Not even fire, flood or famine. Would you make sure we’re left in peace, please?

I nodded. Mr Spires was a new client – one of Helen’s first catches in London – and she was very keen to cater to his every need. He was an American businessman domiciled in U.K. and, when he had visited our offices a couple of times the previous week, I was amused to watch Helen fawn over him.

Time passed quickly. I was engrossed in my work and didn’t see the senior partner walk up to my desk; I looked up in surprise when he started talking. Sophie, have you seen Helen? We had a meeting scheduled ten minutes ago and she hasn’t shown up.

I flashed up her diary on my screen. Her meeting with Mr Spires was the only event shown. I began explaining to him that she was in conference with a client, but he was getting impatient now.

Find her, and have her come and see me pronto. He stormed off, back to his own office.

I telephoned the conference room, but the number was busy. I’d have go along there and interrupt her meeting; I had no choice. I logged out of my PC and walked across the open-plan office; when I came to the conference room she had booked, I knocked on the door and walked right in, expecting to see Helen and Mr Spires seated opposite each other with bundles of documents stretched out on the long table in between them.

There were no documents; I couldn’t see either my boss or her client when I first opened the door. Then, in a corner on the nearside of the room, I saw Mr Spires standing with his pants down to his knees; his eyes were shut tight and his face was screwed up in ecstasy. Helen was kneeling in front of him, her head busily attending to his crotch. They seemed oblivious to my presence. The initial surprise that overwhelmed me was quickly replaced by the realisation that I had to remain composed at all costs.

I shut the door behind me, so that the others in the sprawling office outside couldn’t see, and walked over to the corner. I’d never seen a couple locked in a sex act like this before, and it was an instant turn-on for me. But I didn’t have time to savour the moment; I could take away a snapshot of it in my mind and recall it later if I needed inspiration....

Mr Spires opened his eyes and saw me. What the fuck...? he whispered urgently. What’s she doing here, Helen?

She pulled away from her activity and looked round at me, furious at my interruption.

I’m sorry to burst in like this. The senior partner wants to see you in his office right away. He said you had a meeting scheduled with him.

Her client had, by now, pulled up his pants and was about to zip up his fly. My eyes caught a glimpse of his cock; he saw that I noticed.

Haven’t you seen one of these before, young woman? he asked me, holding it and pointing it at me. Go on, take a good look before it goes flabby and wrinkly – thanks to you.

Helen had got to her feet by now. Leave her alone, Frank. It’s my fault for not locking the door.

It was hard for me to take my eyes off him. I hadn’t really studied Mr Spires before; his face had very attractive features: dark eyes and thick eyebrows, with a full head of light brown hair. I guessed he was in his late twenties, tall and – I suspected – with a muscular frame. But I had only seen him from the waist down, his thick cock – its bulbous pink tip disclosing the pleasure Helen had been giving him – and, before he had tucked them away, I’d noticed the dark skin of his balls that contained his unreleased seed. God, he must be sexually frustrated now, I thought.

Helen was saying something to me, but I wasn’t listening. Blood surged down to my sex; I hadn’t noticed how wet I’d become down there. It was only now that I realised that I was immensely horny. I’d entered the room right at the critical moment; if I’d walked in a few seconds later, and caught him at the point of orgasm, I wondered if his crazed frenzy of excitement would have set me off too. I visualised his man-cream dripping from the corner of Helen’s mouth.

Sophie, did you hear what I said? asked Helen.

Sorry. I didn’t quite catch that.

I’ll have to see the senior partner. Can you stay here with Mr Spires while I’m gone? I shouldn’t be more than five minutes. Get him another coffee, maybe. And we need to talk later.

She turned to her client, who had taken a seat at the table. I’ll be back as soon as I can, Frank. Taking one last embarrassed look at me, she walked to the door and was gone.

He smiled. Relax, Honey. These things happen. But not usually in lawyers’ offices.

I’m so sorry, Mr Spires. I had no idea –

Call me Frank. And of course you didn’t know. I didn’t know myself until yesterday when I was asked to drop by for a meeting. I never thought this was going to happen.

You mean you and Helen – you’re not –

Not having an affair? Hell, no. Are you going to sit down, Sophie?

    Did you want a coffee?

    No, thanks.

I took a chair and sat opposite him. So... you’re saying what I just saw when I walked in all happened on the spur of the moment?

"You’ll recall that I came to the office last Tuesday and I discussed fees with Helen. I asked her if we might be able to negotiate a small reduction. She said that wouldn’t be possible, since they’d already been lowered because I was a new client and I suspect that they’d used that device to hook me in.

I expressed my disappointment and then, out of the blue, she said something like ‘Well, Frank, I could offer you a couple of blow jobs.’ I took that to be a joke and accepted the offer. I guess she was surprised at my reaction, but she agreed to honour the offer and invited me back here this morning. You know the rest.

Goodness.... I couldn’t think of anything else to say.

Anyway, I’ve just finished a relationship with someone. Helen may have heard about it, I don’t know; if she had, maybe she felt some sympathy for me and decided to give me a treat. Or maybe she felt honour bound to go through with it, just in case I went back to the law firm that used to look after me. I don’t know.

I reflected that it was fortunate how I had walked through the door, and not the senior partner looking for Helen. I still felt a craving in my crotch; hidden by the table, I held myself tight, trying to capture the trickle of excitement that wouldn’t stop when I’d first seen them having this sex act together. It had been made worse when he pointed his dick at me; I wanted to welcome it between my lips and to resurrect his lost erection. But I was a humble legal secretary.

You’re not going to tell anyone about this, are you? he asked. It could make things awkward for everyone.

I didn’t return his smile. I wouldn’t want to hurt my boss, or anyone else in the firm. And I’m not the blackmailing type.

He sighed. That’s a relief. Are you in a relationship, Sophie?

    Not right now.

Well, I hope you find a good man. Take your time, and don’t grab the first guy that comes along.

The more I looked at him, the more I knew that I wanted him. And I wanted to keep him. But he was way outside my league.

I heard the door open, and Helen returned. That didn’t take very long. Have you two had time to get acquainted?

Sophie just said she won’t talk about what she’s seen here.

That’s good. Thank you, Sophie. You’re a diamond, and I just wish I could help you find a new apartment soon.

    What’s this? asked Mr Spires.

Helen explained my problem; I was looking for a new home and time was ticking. I would be getting pretty desperate
